  1. Re:Tourists in the ISS on Another Space Tourist For Russia · · Score: 1

Since it's international anyone can stick a tourist in there. Also Russians deserve some credit for sticking the first guy in space!

Oh, hell, why not go against the RIAA in court for BOTH?

Because the RIAA have huge lawyers and loads of money. They could theoretically get away with nearly anything. If you really think that you could win, then go for it, but I don't think it will yield any results other than you losing a ton of money (and the case).

  7. I liked... on Banner Ads To Become More Annoying? · · Score: 1

that ad that was like "Were hotdogs ever made of dogs?"

Anyway, ever wonder what ads will be like in the future? I mean with Internet2 coming along and all... they will be like huge full screen DiVXs I bet! Although in that case porn pop ups will be a good thing;)

  8. Less pollution on At My House We Call Them "Uh-Oh's" · · Score: 1

Well less polution is a great thing but think about the price difference between a regular engine and one of these puppies! I think it will be a while before they catch on.

  10. Mcrosoft bad, Linux good! on Microsoft To Assist Ximian In Producing Mono · · Score: 1

OK, I've seen a lot of surprised comments here. Microsoft is NOT "bad". They make buggy software and charge high prices for it, but on the other hand they have set a great standard in the ease of use. Sure Linux is open source, but it takes a lot of work to set it up right. Personally, I prefer linux because it's more secure but I don't go around screaming "MS Sucks!!!"

On another note, I think that there might be some profit for MS here.

  11. Great! on Solving the Great Shower Curtain Mystery · · Score: 2

Now I can die happy knowing that shower curtains get sucked inward due to a small hurricane. I love science! We could be spending research time finding a way to get 500 miles to a gallon instead of worrying about showers.

  13. The Music World? on MP3.com Summit - The Music Revolution is Over · · Score: 2

You mean the "mainstream music world"! I still got my copies of Pink Floyd and Iggy Pop albums. Music is in no way dead for me. I still hang out with my friends and discuss music and still play the guitar. So what if the music on MTV is being "crushed by lawsuits"? I think that's a good thing! While the corporate musicians go at each others throats i can sit back and listen to the music i like

  16. Re:Rap. on Public Enemy Solicits Net Artists To Remix Tracks · · Score: 1

That is not completely true. While that analogy may be true for mainstream rap, real rap is different. It actually has great lyrics and expresses true emotion. While I am not a fan of rap, I can always listen to my friends rap and it sounds cool.

  17. Re:Is it a spoof ? on Hotel on the Moon · · Score: 1

"Luna" is actaully the word for moon in many languages (at least in Russian it is.) Also, in Russian the word "lunatic" reffers to someone who stays up and does strange stuff when there's a full moon (not in the English sense of a completely wacko person.) This term was taken on by many Russia science fiction writers as someone who lives on the moon. (Ofcourse I don't know about any other languages.) Draw your own conclusions from that...

  18. It seems to me... on Napster Settles with Metallica/Dr. Dre · · Score: 1

like the only people who are suing Napster are those who are less succesful than they were before. Metallica used to be a great band but their last 4 albums were made for radio play. Their record sales started dropping long before mp3s came about. And what can i say about NSync? They don't even write the songs so I guess it wasn't them pulling the songs off. Now I'm not a big fan of rap but i personally know that Dr Dre's earlier stuff was better. OK just my opinions here. Don't flame me cuz i don't like rap, new Metallica or NSync.
