Well, I've got news for you: the same applies to the original trilogy as well. You just don't realize it because you were so young when the movies first came out.

No. It was less 'IN YOUR FACE'. I saw the first triology at 14.

Do you know why almost everybody here hates the Ewoks in ROTJ?

Wrong again, don't assume generallity that fast my friend. I really liked the Ewoks and the Ewoks movies, in fact they are better than the first prequel.

Like most of the Anime amateurs in here, I really enjoy watching the saturday cartoons. Don't project your self interests into other's life.

the average Joe sees all Star Wars movies as children's movies, regardless of whether they have Ewoks or Jar-Jar in them or not.

I'm not interrested in average Joe's opinion We are talking about targetting movies to kids and making money out of this.

The main fact is that "I" hate "IN YOUR FACE" targetting. Old movies NEVER NEVER had this obvious form of stupid marketing. Your happy with it, fine by me. All i have to say is get ready for worst, and worst. Once these corporate wimps find a good money making scheme they exploit it and exploit it until they find a better one. And it's the better one that I'm afraid of.

One last thing, these people are after Average Joe's money. And this is what we are trying to prevent. Cause if they get it all, then it might be the last time we see good movies around here. Seen Planet of The Apes latelly? It sucked? I'm not surprised at all.

    A moment of thinking...

Mmm well, the problem with that assumption is that we know many other flexible materials that could replace asphalt to make highways more durable.

The question is not there, the question is friction between tires and ... something. Believe me friction between rubber and ordinary concrete is poor. We already have some concrete highways around here. They last longer all right, however you might not want to drive to your mom's place in a big snow storm ;)

So, you might want to ask these guys about the friction coefficient of their material first and then talk about highways.

I was wondering why is suddenly 3D graphics or just plain good graphics mean a good game these days. I know know, some will say i'm always complaining about this and that, but people i saw good graphic games stubbled and crashed because gameplay was weak and didn't demand much strategy. Everything from the story that weaves WWII with Heinrich Himmlers obsession with the Occult, raising of the dead and genetic mutation, to the totally smooth motion captured animations, near-photo quality textures and AI system, work together to create the Wolf gameplay... Isn't that what we don't want. I mean isn't that shooting everything from point A to point B within a ... storyline is.

Graphics are not going to change this game at all. It'll still be a point and shoot brainless game. To me shooting a patrolling guard with predefined path that changes with your actions is just the same damn thing as shooting a pigeon that knows you are aiming at it.

Still, I'm going to buy the game because it is Castle Wolfenstein, but I don't know what that Kevin Cloud is talking about.

Besides graphics and AI, the game is the same.

When I was 16, I got tired of my bike and bought a car. Now that I'm tired of first person shooters, i want more. In fact i want something more like Tribes 2.... Heads up! Your missing the boat.

DirectX surpassed OpenGL about 2 years ago. In the beginning it was shitty, but look how far it has come. OpenGL has stalled out for years.

I'm sorry to attack you this way, but your view on OpenGL vs. DirectX puzzles me big times. If your going to give any good arguments for this say so now. Provide links, benchmarks, come on you need to convince someone here, because as we speak the professional graphic market is still owned by OpenGL and there's one big freakin reason about this, it is better.

Now, yes DirectX as improve in the last years. You know why? Of course not. Because it was made to compete OpenGL, you know what they did at M$ for their 8th released they worked with the OpenGL community isn't that weird?

Office is the best office suit on the market because M$ killed all the others that were far far far more quality products.

IE? pfff come on, I'm currently developping web applications, and you know what that DAMN FREAKIN IE IS PISSING ME OFF BIG TIMES!

No matter what their new projects are, people are starting to want quality software, something M$ hasn't been doing for a freakin long time. No matter what they do or think, the days where you can just do a big marketing campaign and sell billions of units is over.

Look at the time when Ford was the only 'good' car manufacturer. Do you think people were asking for quality cars? The answer is no since Ford was almost the only car manufacturer around. Now tranpose this situation in the Software business. Do you think people are now asking for quality software? The answer is YES, since competition is fierce and people are now learning from experts what is best for them.

It's simple the more software users learn about their machine and the software they use the more M$ is going to be in DEEP SHIT.

Oh and for all you XP fans, XP = Xtra Pourri.
