So, for the people who didn't get the idea that themes.org is back from the/. poll, here's the story for the people who need to be given things in a blatently obvious manner!
And for those that got the hint from the poll, your mind has just been proven susceptible to subliminal messages. OSDN will take advantage of this fact soon by inserting *GNU* some interesting *BSD* messages within some *goatse.cx* random slashdot comments.
This is a good idea. . . in theory. In practice, though, who will even bother? I mean, wouldn't the typical warezer want to keep his warezing resources around?
Unfortunately, a lot of companies have invested too much in Windows, or can't switch to !Windows because of other reasons.
However, there are plenty of alternative mailing programs. I use Pegasus Mail, and have found it to work rather well. Of course, I have it set for plaintext mail only, so that might be why I haven't been attacked by any javascript virii lately.;P

Second, if they ever did that to /., say, in response to disparaging comments about them, we'd all scream bloody murder.

I'm not sure if anyone's suggested this before, but why not just code up a replacement DLL that uses Mozilla for the HTML renderer instead of IE?
Thus, you wouldn't really 'need' IE anymore.
The story of the mouse is available from Disney.
Ooooh, that mouse.

$395? No thanks, I'll stick with my nerf gun.
> Gateway actually had a PC with a monitor with a built in PC about 4 years ago (I don't think it was LCD).
That would probably be the Gateway Astro, and, yes, it didn't use a LCD, but rather a CRT.
Well, the thing is, if someone's smart enough to set their VCR clocks, then they *must* be an evil copyright-breaking hacker!
A similar program that my high school participated in can be found here: http://www.bestinc.org/
Similar rules seem to apply.
Why can't they just {zip|gzip|bz2} the images? Any of the compression schemes should shave off at least a hundred megabytes or so.
This might be flamebait, off topic, and various other things, but:
The year l999? When's that?
The letter L is *not* a worthy substitute for the numberal 1.
