Make way for Fringe Computer Science and Modern 21st Century Computer Science.
"You know those guys that think up nifty new ways on how to combat the problems that we currently have in the computer industry."
You mean like code that does not scale nor is it backward compatible nor has it been properly maintained? All of which Computer Scientists have failed to do because like you they reject the concepts of software maintenance, legacy software, debugging, best practices, and software psychology?
Being a Computer Scientist like you, would be like being a Natural Scientist and not following the Scientific Method. When I took Computer Science we had a thing called Logical Methods and Analysis and Design that included such things as software maintenance, proper documentation of code, software psychology, best practices, debugging, legacy software programming, scaling, security coding, and many other things. Being a Computer Scientist like you, means you skip steps, cut corners, don't follow a plan or flowchart, and write sloppy code that crashes the system and servers 12 times a day or more, and then blame someone else or something else for your problems and never took responsibility for anything in your life.
Me, I'm the guy who takes responsibility for other people's messes and cleans them up. That is why you say "I would hate to work for someone like you...." and "Please go back to your porch and yelling at kids to get off your lawn." because you are a hateful bigot, a piss poor developer, and you mess up anything you touch and never took responsibility for anything in your life. You are the end product of a broken college system that fails to teach you the basics of even quality control much less "think up nifty new ways on how to combat the problems that we currently have in the computer industry" at all.
I am one of the few people who "think up nifty new ways on how to combat the problems that we currently have in the computer industry" and that is why people like you refuse to work with me, because you are jealous of my abilities.
The Chinese do care about IP, but only when it benefits their economy, not someone else's economy.
Which is why there is an IP case about Chinese fonts, but illegal copies of Windows 98 to Windows XP being sold on the streets of China for $1 a CD each. If Microsoft were a Chinese company, the Chinese government would crack down on the illegal copies, but since Microsoft is a US company, the Chinese government turns a blind eye on the illegal copies of Windows 98 to Windows XP.
You will find that Asian nations almost always deal with IP the same way, because that is the best way to promote their economy. Cheaper copies of foreign products boosts their economy, while cracking down on IP violations of local products boosts their economy as well.
Also by ignoring IP, they can allow factories to make cheap knockoffs of foreign products and sell them for pennies on the dollar, bringing in more money to their local economy while taking money away from foreign economies that buy the products.
Participative Management, Servant Leadership, Organizational Behavior, and other Business Management for the modern age can fix that.
What is wrong with the USA and most of the world is that they are still under "Classic Management" that treats employees as slaves as it is based on the Pharaoh system from ancient Egypt in that managers are royalty and crack that whip (negative reinforcement) to get work done. Modern Management uses positive reinforcement and the managers gain knowledge of what their employees know and participate with them and stop being PHBs (Pointy Haired Bosses) and become Servant Leaders who serve their employees (Think Captain Kirk "What can I do to save my people?" and Star Trek like management) and empower them to make their own decisions and give them the tools and support they need to get their jobs and tasks done.
First of all I get quoted for my legacy software knowledge and I've been doing software maintenance and debugging and developing for 17 years now. I have a lot of references that can back me up.
I get offers from other firms to teach their developers Visual BASIC 6.0 for older Windows or Turbo C 2.0 for MS-DOS so they can better debug them and maintain them. I also get offers to migrate code to newer operating systems like Windows Vista or Windows 7 or both. But I have to turn them down because I am currently too sick to work since 2002. Once I get better I will start up my own small business for contracting, and teach my employees these skills.
Management is not stupid, they usually give a six month contract to see if the contractor is any good. If they don't get good results, the contract is not renewed and the contract goes to another developer. I've worked as a contractor before so I know how it works as my contracts lead to full-time employment before, and I have a good track record.
I usually will use a proxy like guru.com or elance.com to start doing small projects and then work my way up to full time projects, and then use them as a reference and in the contract state that I can use the source code to show to other bidders examples of my work, as long as they sign a NDA stating they won't use the code and that while I wrote it, it belongs to a different firm.
I not only hold degrees in Computer Science, Information Systems, but also Business Management. I know how to talk business speak and talk to managers. I can also do auditing of a business and quality control to help bring down costs, as well as job cost accounting to see where the company is bleeding money.
Over the years I have made enemies as I got picked for a job over others, or I got promoted and got a pay raise over others, who are jealous of my work. Some of them rate my comments on Slashdot as Offtopic, when they really aren't, as both my comments are about Software Maintenance and the relations to it. But note that I also get Interesting ratings because my comments are interesting. I am one of the most interesting people on Slashdot for that reason.
I beg to differ, in my computer science classes at the University of Missouri Rolla, they taught us software maintenance to go along with our programming classes. It is for more than just business software or application software it can be used for system software as well as operating systems, firmware, database applications, and everything else except the kitchen sink (but we are working on that one, he heh heh:).
If you don't do maintenance for your software, it is a lot like not doing maintenance for your car, eventually you'll run into trouble and then it will be more costly to repair (how much is a day or two of downtime worth to your firm?) than it would have been to do the maintenance of your software.
They don't teach software maintenance, debugging, documentation, legacy systems and legacy software, best practices, etc in computer science classes anymore, or the professors just skip over them or the students don't pay close attention anymore. Because I've worked with Comp Sci graduates that had no idea how to do any of them, and it was always up to be to debug their program and do software maintenance on them. Because I solved many problems that everyone else said couldn't be done, I kept getting promotions. But the work got really hard and I got stressed out and got sick and eventually got fired. It seemed out of a team of 30 developers, I was the only one able to fix the problems and avoid the system and servers crashing 12 times a day or more due to sloppy programming. But they fired me anyway for getting too sick at work, and keep on the sloppy programmers. I read the Microsoft Newsgroups they use for support and read by searching my former employer's domain name on how they struggled to migrate to Dotnet and couldn't get the Dotnet versions of the programs working as well as the ones I fixed and maintained. How could I, the only competent developer they had, been fired when they needed me for the Dotnet migration? It is simple, managers and developers don't want to do things like software maintenance or even debugging or best practices because they consider them "time wasters" and "unneeded expenses" and that the work I did cost them an expense they didn't need, so they didn't need me. But they were so blind to see that the work I did while it was an expense, it saved then millions of dollars in lost productivity, lost CPU time, cost savings in not needing to buy faster processors and more memory as my code ran tight and compact in lower ones, and days if not weeks of downtime and a dysfunctional system and software that takes them years to fix by hiring high priced contractors to do the work I would have done for my small salary.
Yes I am convinced that if I am well enough to return to work, to become that high priced consultant and do debugging, best practices, software maintenance, etc because 99.9% of the market doesn't know how or doesn't want to do those things.
Before they let me go the VP of IT told me this "You are a developer, developers are a dime a dozen. We get 500 resumes a week just for your position alone. We can easily hire someone at a fraction of your current salary who won't get sick on the job." After they let me go they realized that I wasn't some dime a dozen programmer, but too late, can't change the past. If they want me back, I'll be a high priced contractor with an iron clad contract that contains bonuses, stock options, and other things in it.
$74.99 and 18 buttons and analog joystick. The mouse that Homer Simpson invented for his half-brother who owns a computer company. The Homer Mouse. It should do as well as Powell Motor's Homer car.
Now all it needs is a cup holder big enough for Homer's drink.:)
Like Microsoft made a monopoly by bundling IE with Windows, so too does Apple create a monopoly by bundling Safari and iTunes with Mac OSX, thus shutting out Firefox, Real Player, Napster, etc.
Apple limits what machines can run Mac OSX, which is in violation of the Sherman Antitrust Act. This is the argument that Psystar is trying to make in that Apple has created their own virtual Mac Monopoly and shut out all competitors by making it so that only Apple machines can run OSX and nobody else. Mac OSX is based on the MACH kernel and *BSD Unix, which was designed for running on all sorts of machines and devices, but Apple violated the BSD license by only running OSX on only Apple brand computers.
Apple has a monopoly on iPhones and iPods, and other hand held devices because they have a large marketshare and they locked them so that only iTunes and the Apple App Store can put media files or software on them. Thus forcing people to use Apple's web services. According to the Genis Book of World Records Apple.com is the second most used web site for buying media files. Which goes to show that forcing iTunes on everyone who buys an Apple product proves a Monopoly. With that much in sales, they are creating a Monopoly and shutting out competitors.
But that $300 Netbook with the $50 profit margin will
#1 Sell ten times more than the $1000 tablet with a $300 profit margin. Thus earning $500 in profits for every ten Netbooks sold at $300 for every one $1000 Tablet sold with a $300 margin. Net sum of $200 more in profits.
#2 Raise the Apple marketshare of Mac OSX based devices.
#3 Put a lid on the Hackintosh market as a $300 Mac based Netbook is cheap enough to buy that even the stingiest of Hackintosh users can't pass up the $300 Mac OSX Netbook.
#4 Apple really needs a Netbook to compete with the PC companies who have their own Netbook.
#5 It means more iTunes sales, as well as more iPhone and iPod sales to sync up with the Mac Netbook.
Vonage keeps track of all numbers you dialed or called you, along with voicemail you can dial into, access via email, or access via their web interface.
I don't know about updating phone books for cordless phones, but since I switched to Vonage I have better control over my voicemail and list of phone numbers via the web interface and it emails every voice mail entry to my address along with a speech to text of the message.
Vonage uses a CAT5 Ethernet connector and then any POTS phone. As long as you have the Internet with an Ethernet port (Like a Wireless hub with Ethernet ports in it) you can use the Vonage box. Plus it has free Long Distance to the USA and 60+ foreign nations. My wife and brother-in-law use it to call family in Thailand for free. About $33 a month after taxes.
The other thing is Google Voice but that is still in beta testing.
The thing is cordless POTS phones never caught up with cell phones yet, but that is a good business to get into and develop smart POTS phones that sync up phone lists, etc.
If there is a fatality and it might be caused by a human driven car crashing into a computer driven car because someone didn't want to do an upgrade.
How many human fatalities were caused by jet planes auto pilot feature? Compare apples to apples, even if it can be proven that jet plane auto pilot has killed one third of the people as human pilots, they still keep the auto pilot system.
I mean come on, we got NASA technology to fly robot space ships to the outer edge of the solar system and drive little cars on Mars, but we cannot invent an auto pilot system for a car that drives itself without any fatalities?
OK how about this, Onstar human guided driving, someone at Onstar takes control of your car when you are not able to drive or get distracted. Would you trust a help desk support computer driver more than a computer based driver?
No matter what happens, they will invent some sort of technology to "wake up" or let the driver know they are distracted. How much you want to bet even with that system there are still fatalities?
Obama is nothing like Bush. This is a transparent government that doesn't hide anything or plan on passing any bills that would take away rights and freedoms like Net Neutrality or a Secret Copyright Treaty that would screw over consumers and competitors.
We would hope for change that BushObama, er ah George W. Obama, er ah Barrack W. Bush, er ah President Obama is not becoming a Black Bush and finish off George W. Bush's third term as a Closet Republican Neocon in a Liberal Democrat suit.:)
Health Care will be universal, and we can ignore that 30% hidden tax in the bill to pay for it, as your employer would get a 30% tax on your salary as well, as that would never happen in the USA as it did in Sweden. Oh now Obama is going to do it with Congress for free, with more TARP and stimulus money for banks, GM, and other organizations that lobbied money to Congress and his administration, but ignore that, as it is the cost of Free Health Care, just Free as in Speech not as in Beer.:)
design a computer that can drive a car for a person. Pass a law that all cars must have the computer driver device installed in them. When a person gets drunk or sleepy they turn on the computer driver autopilot and set a destination and it plots out the safest route and drives there for them. The computer driver will have cameras on the cars with heat sensing, motion sensing, and light intensifying features to make sure it doesn't hit anyone or anything and the database will be updated via satellite for the GPS data, stop light data, speed limits, etc.
You already have smart GPS devices the next step would be a computer based GPS system that can drive a car when the driver is passed out, drunk, sleepy, or distracted in some way. Just have it switch to autopilot when the driver is having problems controlling the car or their eyes are closed shut for a certain period of time or some other sensor to indicate the driver cannot drive a car properly.
I am sure some politician will eventually pass a law that requires all cars be driven by computer and not human beings.
They are better than US plugs and can take two types of plugs. The US type plug and the round pins used in European and Asian countries.
I think having a plug system that is compatible with foreign plugs is a better system than the UK system which needs adapter plugs.
Also the US plug in the article is based on the plug system they had before the three prong grounded plug system. For washers and dryers we have the 220 volt plugs. We use 110 Volts because it saves energy for small appliances and use the 220 Volt plugs for the heavy duty stuff like washers and drivers and industrial machinery.
The rich while dumb via liberal arts, science, technology, and other areas, are smart via business management, finances, accounting, stock picking, etc.
It is like we computer geeks we are smart with computers, but not always smart with finances, business management, and other things. I for example didn't learn to drive a car until I was in my 20's, by my high school didn't have driver's ed and nobody was available to train me until I was in my 20's. I was smart with computers, but couldn't operate a car. Now I can drive a car, but I don't have the skills as a mechanic to fix a car, even if I know how to use tools by building computers. I suppose I could read a few books and take a few classes and then I can do simple things like replacing a dead battery, tune up a car, etc. The most I can do now is jump start a car using jumper cables because of my electronics knowledge, and change air filters and other filters and check for the oil and antifreeze and add more in. But I cannot do an oil change, nor would I know where to drop off the used oil as one cannot pour it into a sewer and it needs proper disposal.
I was dumb at business management and finances, until I took some college classes on them, now I can manage my money better and maybe start up my own small business and earn a profit. I tried two small businesses before I took those classes and had a hard time earning money. I learned what mistakes I made and how to correct them.
People can obviously be smart at some things and dumb in others. Look at all of the smart people who cannot figure out how to use a computer and we computer geeks have to keep fixing it for them.
Well the problem of Linux is that it lacks proper commercial game support like Civilization IV, but CIV4 exists for Windows and Mac OSX. WINE doesn't run everything and requires the DRM copy protection to be removed via a "crack" that may or may not contain malware.
I, in fact, already dual boot Windows and Linux on my Notebook. I got Fedora 11 installed.
$29 for Mac OSX is a great price, but universally, utterly, completely, and totally useless to me if I cannot afford an Apple branded PC to run it on. Sure that $300 Windows 7 Home Premium PC might run the Hackintosh version but it might not support the wireless, audio, or other devices. The $29 Mac OSX would be a great buy for me, if I could run it on a cheap $300 PC, but then Apple would claim that it is cutting into their profits.
One of the reasons why I want a Mac OSX box is to develop OSX software on it using the built in development tools, plus a platform to test out my OSX developed software. I know Linux can maybe GCC cross compile, but can it run OSX native code as well for testing?
I haven't checked them all but most of them I checked were legal, and Quicksilverscreen and TIOTI are people that share their videos via the web site that may be grayware and not 100% legal but it is like them taping a VHS tape and sharing it with you.
What about the people who got married after having high paying jobs and then had kids. Then after the Dotcom Bust they lost those high paying jobs and had to settle for lower paying jobs, but still raise the kids and make house payments.
Some of us were forced into this situation, if we could have seen the future we might not have had kids and then been like you. But without kids you'll never know the love that a son and/or daughter has for you, you'll never know the happiness of being a father or mother or parent. You'll never have someone to take care of you when you get old or too sick to work and your adult child that you didn't have wouldn't be there for you.
In my case I was making more money than you as a programmer, but I got sick and ended up on disability. I make ends meet by limiting what I buy no iPhones, no Macs, no XBox 360 or Playstation 3 or Wii, an economic car already paid off instead of a sports car or SUV, and a pre-paid Tracfone for emergency calls only. I have a son and he was born during the Dotcom bubble bursting. But I wouldn't go back in time and not have him, I'd still have him with my wife but I would have saved up more money for when I got too sick to work and invested my 401K and IRA differently so I wouldn't have lost that $50,000 when tech companies went belly up.
I have about five older Macintosh computers in my basement. I learned a long time ago that Apple was ripping off users by charging a high price for their hardware and limiting their OS to only Apple brand computers. What ticked me off for the last time was the killing of the Mac Clones like Power Computing, etc. I was going to buy one, but Apple killed them off. I instead got an iMac Bondi Blue G3 and that was the last Mac I got as it ran Mac OS9 and there was no upgrade path to Mac OSX, buy a new system. My iMac G3 didn't qualify for Mac OSX even if it was a slot loading CD Mac, they made a Firewire requirement and while it was possible to hack Mac OSX to install on a non-firewire iMac G3 it would require a hard drive upgrade, a RAM upgrade, and maybe even a CPU upgrade and I might as well have bought a newer Mac because the price Apple charges for the upgrades costs more than the PC versions of those upgrades as well. If I used PC parts it would void my warranty plus Apple claimed it would make the iMac unstable.
I was going to buy a Mac Mini, because finally it was the cheapest Mac, but because it is so small it is prone to over heating, plus upgrades for it are limited. Then the Intel Macs came out, and the Mac was just another PC but with a higher price tag and a different OS installed.
Yeah sure I could buy Mac OSX legally, but without an Apple hardware Macintosh I couldn't use it legally. My old Macs won't be able to run it, as the modern OSX no longer supports the old G3 series and requires more RAM than I can upgrade it with.
Truth be told the only reason why I won't buy a Mac is the price of the hardware, and on the lower priced models I won't buy them because of their limited upgrade status. What I really need is a Mac Book Pro for under $700 or a Macintosh Pro for under $300 as those are the prices of a PC with the same features, including mark downs and rebates at consumer electronic stores. But Apple doesn't sell them that cheap, so I consider them a rip-off. I consider using Linux on a cheap PC than Mac OSX on an expensive Mac.
Yeah Apple needs the Mac Clones again, but if they do most likely they will have an OEM agreement to keep the Mac Clones at the same price as the Apple brand Macs. Which would once again rip off the customers and drive people to the Hackintosh version of OSX86 on cheap PCs yet again.
Apple should be using Atom based Mac Netbooks to sell under $300 Mac Netbooks that runs Mac OSX to compete with the Windows XP/7 Netbooks and Linux Netbooks.
Now if Apple wants to use Atom based processors they are SOL unless they modify the OS to allow it.
Not like they can stop the Hackintosh, Mac OSX86 Hackers patch the OSX kernel and code with code and the kernel from Darwin or even a version of *BSD Unix that supports the Non-Apple hardware like AMD 64 Bit CPUs for Non-Apple PCs to run OSX86 as it is called. Apple tried to close source the OSX kernel but the Darwin kernel is almost the same thing and the source code is available for it, and Hackintosh programmers just unassemble the OSX kernel and binaries, and then patch in the assembly from the Darwin and *BSD Unix code. You have to remember the Hackintosh OSX86 is a modified OSX with the DRM removed and the check for Non-Apple hardware removed and more support for Non-Apple hardware added like AMD and Atom chips. The Mac OSX weakness is that it is based on open sourced operating systems like Darwin and the MACH kernel, and *BSD Unix, which means Hackers can exchange code from the OSX install DVD with code from the OSS projects. Apple can stop a few hackers, but they cannot stop them all. But it will take time for the hackers to get around this latest version of OSX.
Oh yeah that is but one of many possible future events. The 'health camp' bill will be passed after the collapse with the new Neo-Environmentalist government, and it won't be a Democracy or Republic or up for debate. Animals and plants will have more rights and freedoms than human beings, and only members of the Neo-Environmentalist party will get the benefits and perks. Everyone else will suffer in poverty or be rounded up for "health camps".
It is one of my "Doomsday Scenarios" that I came back from the future in order to prevent. I have visions of it via my psionic awareness powers. But since the future is malleable it might not happen and something else happens instead.
But once the federal government gets smarter on their spending and track it unlike the TARP money nobody seems to know where it went, and start having budget surpluses again, they can prevent the collapse that triggers that revolution. By the way Non-USA people, the "revolution" will spread around the globe as the US economic collapse triggers global collapses around the planet.
This is not the banks doing it, nor the New World Order, but the Neo-Environmentalists. By the way they aren't Atheists or Secular Humanists, but they do believe in the worship nature and the universe, but otherwise are secular in their beliefs. They believe that social justice means taking the people responsible for the destruction of the environment and planet and murdering them in mass numbers. Just that the sick, disabled, elderly and mentally ill are being blamed for all of this even if other people contribute to harming the environment. Their belief is that the planet has too many people and using Social Darwinism the population must become under control. Abortion, birth control, and other things like sterilizers in the public water were ways to control the population growth, but they claim it wasn't enough and that soon more drastic measures need to be taken.
Neither Republicans nor Democrats are a part of it, as it is not Liberals and Conservatives (neocons) and that this is an ultra-left-wing movement that has been going on since the 1960's. It was first a communist movement, but since communism failed in the USSR and other nations, they adopted elements of other systems to create the hybrid system that would cause a collapse, followed by a revolution.
Well considering that the USA Economic system is a hybrid of Communism and Capitalism with a little Fascism with the IPs and EULAs, and Corporistism with companies like Microsoft, Apple, or organizations like the RIAA or MPAA having complete control and can take away peoples' rights and freedoms by accusing them of piracy without even having to prove it in court shows that the USA is FUBARed and doomed to eventual failure. There is a collapse coming.
I wouldn't call it fascism exactly as there are elements of communism, capitalism, social Darwinism, corporatism, corruption, indoctrination, brainwashing, environmentalism, green technology and other things.
I would call the movement as Neo-Environmentalism as most of the people behind it, and those brainwashed and indoctrinated by public education and public colleges worship nature and the environment and put nature and the environment above human life, rights, and freedoms, and consider the USA and Democracy and the Republic to be evil and want to throw a "revolution" of sorts to "weed out" the people who don't contribute to society. Watch carefully the Health Care bills and see which groups of people get the most money, and what lawyers benefit from it and why they aren't debating about it like everyone else.
First they will come for the sick and disabled, and then the mentally ill and elderly, rounding them up into "health camps" labeled as free health care, but when that happens be very careful who they round up next. For it will be religious people because they are creating their own secular religion that worships nature and considers human beings to be scum of the Earth and evil and the main cause of Global Warming and destroying the planet, etc. It will make Hitler and his NAZIs look like Girl Scouts selling cookies for everyone rounded up will get a bullet in the head like what happened in China, Russia, Cuba, and other Communist states. It will be a ultra-left-wing movement but communism will just be but one factor.
All it takes is a collapse, followed by a "revolution" of the masses of young people, without illness, without disabilities, without religion, and indoctrinated and brainwashed into the Neo-Environmentalism religion/movement/politics/government, etc.
Oh by the way, they'll claim they aren't murdering people, just "recycling" them into a compost heap or something to grow more food with in a way that isn't harmful to the environment.
having the latest patches and updates do not protect you from all viruses just specific ones. Microsoft cannot code Windows updates to prevent all virus and malware infections as Windows is "defective by design" with security holes and bugs that allow malware and viruses to be installed even if the system has the latest updates and a few AV programs as well as a firewall.
Pirated Windows can still apply the Windows updates and pirated Windows have a way around the Microsoft WGA checks as they redirect WGA checks to files within the operating system that have been patched to always return a genuine check, instead of going to Microsoft's servers. The only people that get WGA 'You may be a victim of counterfeiting" are legit Windows users who suffered from a "false positive" because their AV or Firewall detected WGA as Spyware and prevented it from connecting to Microsoft's servers.
Actually third world nations get virus infections because the economy is bad and many of their citizens turn to writing viruses to make money by infecting other systems and stealing their identity and bank accounts, but they just don't infect systems within their nation, but all over the world it is just that people in a third world nation cannot afford the tech support services to remove the viruses and malware or aren't educated enough to do it themselves and suffer with malware and virus infections. Not to say that people in rich economies like the EU and USA don't write their own share of viruses and malware, just that Geek Squad and other companies charge $300 (or more or less) to do a virus/malware cleanup using a MRI Boot CD with several virus scanners on it and pay some high school or college student or drop-out minimum wage to do the virus scan.
I myself clean up the Windows systems of friends and relatives, and their Windows is genuine and patched and updated to the latest versions and they paid for AV software and firewalls, but still get infected. Until Windows adopts a Unix like security system and uses a design that makes it hard for viruses and malware to exist or infect system files as Unix, Linux, Mac OSX, *BSD Unix etc have, we are going to see "Ghostbuster" type numbers of virus and malware infections all around the world. Now that is a big Twinkie!
The Classic Computer Science college courses in the 1980's and on back to the 1950's taught the following things:
Software Psychology
Software Maintenance
Analysis and Design
Logical Methods
Quality Control
Writing Secure Code
Writing Optimized Code
Best Coding Practices
Debugging
Scaling
Migrating Legacy Software
Managing Garbage Collection
Managing Memory Usage
And many more.

Classic Management is like that, I agree.
Now all it needs is a cup holder big enough for Homer's drink. :)
Apple Monopolies
Sorry I found out that video doesn't play for all web browsers. Black Bush at Commedy Central as part of the Dave Chapelle show.
Bush's third term as a Closet Republican Neocon in a Liberal Democrat suit. :)
Health Care will be universal, and we can ignore that 30% hidden tax in the bill to pay for it, as your employer would get a 30% tax on your salary as well, as that would never happen in the USA as it did in Sweden. Oh now Obama is going to do it with Congress for free, with more TARP and stimulus money for banks, GM, and other organizations that lobbied money to Congress and his administration, but ignore that, as it is the cost of Free Health Care, just Free as in Speech not as in Beer. :)
design a computer that can drive a car for a person.
Actually one can be intelligent in many ways.
I AM handicapped, I'm psychotic!
That case is like something out of a funny movie from the 1980's. :)
You want free videos:

I haven't checked them all but most of them I checked were legal, and Quicksilverscreen and TIOTI are people that share their videos via the web site that may be grayware and not 100% legal but it is like them taping a VHS tape and sharing it with you.
here is a link to tens of thousands of free music links mostly by third party artists who don't have a distributor and share their music via the Internet.
If you are going to use BitTorrent why not find free and legal torrents to use with it and avoid the piracy.
