You're not texting or whatever it is you do. Don't use acronyms constantly, it's getting super-old... especially when you have a keyboard and can type the letters in a second or two.
I have never in my life seen this happen, and I've been using RAID since the Linux kernel started supporting RAID. Through IDE, SCSI, SATA, on NAS & SAN as well. On Sun, Intel, NetApp, EMC hardware along with software emulated RAID. I've had drives die lots of times in those years. RAID is by no means a bad idea any more than wearing a seatbelt is a bad idea. RAID is redundancy (keeps you from going down fast & hard), not a backup. Both should be used, since no amount of RAID can save you from yourself.
Kind of reminds me of a couple of times as I'm being hired on, being asked by the H.R. personnel "So, how much did you make at your last position? We need to know so your pay can stay aligned, and remain comfortable with your payscale.". Honest words, I'm not making this up. I never answered that question with a number, I've always answered with the usual, "how much is the position being allocated? We can discuss from there."
I'm posting this with Chrome, seems to work. Worked yesterday, and the day before, and the day before, and the day before. (that's back to thursday) I randomly used replied before that, never saw any issues.
Just tested on OSX with no other active applications Chrome with CNN.com loaded into 150 tabs - CPU 80% idle (changing from 95 to 80% randomly) Memory: 6.35GB used.
That's kinda your operating systems job... I've never seen anything relating to 1080p on computers anyway, myself. I've seen screen DPI, but not resolution ratings.
Do you truly try to be an asshat? He obviously meant a computer shared by the family, since we're not talking about a game system invented in the 70's. As far as your idea that the vocal opponents to computer sharing have some sort of global say, let me just say... who the fuck cares.
Now, if you take the test at MEPS, it's computerized, and it basically varies the difficulty on the fly to more quickly evaluate your skill, and thus runs shorter.
In 1993 when I took it in MEPS, it was all paper from what I remember. I don't know really what good the ASVAB test really is, but I got a 94 as well. I hated that place, with a passion.
My math teachers in schools were horrible, mostly. I had school in Maryland & Florida, USA. I moved from Maryland to Florida and started 4th grade without being taught fractions in the 3rd & the teacher wouldn't explain to me how to reduce a fraction with lowest common denominators. I was told in no uncertain terms that because I wasn't taught that in the 3rd grade, I would be failed and repeat the year and be taught then. I was scarred by that, since it stayed in my records and every teacher since has treated me like a retard. I did algebraic & trig style equations at home for engine designs & metallurgy in my high school years, and I learned everything out of books. School has and always will be a waste of time for those that are ambitious, IMHO.
Reminds me of when I was 16 and got a job as a cashier at a gas station. I was told time and time again if the person gives you another amount other than what you pressed in as 'cash recieved', you had to void it and do it over. I was confused for 3-4 seconds (silence, as I'm blinking...) as they told me this, and asked why. They said it was because you had to know exactly how much to give them back. They wouldn't let me do it any other way, even though it's simple enough to count. (told me if I did it without voiding it, I'd be reprimanded, then fired the second time. No worry of your till's end-of-day amount.) Needless to say, I was out of there quick...
Not necessarily, since Apple customers by very demographic have more money.
Neither does serfdom.
You realize that was >100 years ago, right?
Many countries have changed governmental entities in that time.
"trust, but verify"
Passwords keep people on the honest side for the most part. If you don't use a password, you're open game.
I guess the Unix folk will need a dance pad, since it's purely command driven...
That made no sense.

What if it's a memory resident malware/spyware/virus that scans keys?

Apple designed the A4 & A5 processor, and the rest of the iPad. They engineer their stuff, they just outsource the production of it.
Netbooks/laptops aren't going the way of the dodo any more than a desktop is.
It's just a really small, anemically powered desktop...
Everyone knows they're made of turtles.
Turtles, all the way down.

It's okay, IE will be less popular soon.
Wow, I feel so archaic, I'm running 16...

Be careful!
That was obviously considered a tongue-in-cheek sarcastic question.
Just because you don't know someone who uses it in no way means it's unpopular.
It just means you have a rather small cadre of people you talk to.
