    I'd tend to hire someone who's willing to say "I don't know" over someone who tries to BS an answer.

    You're right. I was discussing this with some guys at work. We all agreed that the xxAA is evil.

    My comment was exactly yours. The xxAA will get what they want, until... The broadcast flag goes into effect. When Joe Sixpack can't record whatever, and take it to his buddy's house or watch it on his other VCR in the other room, all the Congresscritters in the xxAA's pockets are going to have a new one ripped for themselves.

    the legislation states "copyright holder" - meaning the labels, movie production company, movie distributor, publisher, etc. By using the term "copyright holder", it eliminates the law being specially crafted specifically for the MPAA/RIAA.

    Then of course, we all can go crack the RIAA computers. If not, we can get the law overturned under the "Equal Protection" clause of the 14th Amendment.

    Having written for COE, the link has absolutely nothing to do with security.

    Is the DoD's "software plug-n-play" initiative, for lack of better phrasing. And the OS is only a part of that. AIX just got certified for COE 4. I worked on COE 3 systems.

    Security has absolutely nothing to do with COE. And wasn't VMS (either 5.0 or 4.x) certified years ago to Orange Book B1 or B2?

    How about the Ninth Amendment or the Tenth Amendment?

    The Ninth says "Just because we didn't explicitly mention it here, doesn't mean you have it."

    The Tenth says, "If it's not listed here, the Feds don't control it, and it's your right."

    In CA, all new construction and any sale of an existing home requires that the property have an automatic cutoff valve attached to the gas line.

    Mine cost about $200. We'll see how good it is when the next big one hits.
