That's not quite accurate in all things that they reviewed.
Consumer Reports decides on a Policy that they like and promote as if they had reviewed it. This is a repeating theme for CR that I have sent since the 1980's. Plus, while they did in past (and may in the present but I have no knowledge of the continuation of that practice since severing the relationship), there are other ways that one can receive a "payoff" and would neither be investigated. Without a Crusading Mueller, there is no expectation of any wrongdoing or immoral activity to be found. This is what I have seen and why I stopped subscribing to their magazine and be a part of their organization. They have corrupted themselves by adherence to a Political Position rather then accurately reviewing products.
Consumer Reports has done this type of "reporting" for decades. It appears to me that they develop a policy on a subject and rate products on how they perceive the products adherence to CR's policy instead of how the policy works. It also seems to me that Telsa is becoming a company to hate -- like IBM during the early PC-era and Microsoft during the mid years of the same era.
I noticed this type of behavior with CR and realized their reviews were valueless to me and stop my subscriptions. I rarely refer to CR any more and rarely give any credence to stories that reach the regular-type news media.
I doubt that. Distributing a foreign magazine, book, pamphlet, tract, etc. in the USA would be covered under the USA Constitution. Also foreign websites that can be viewed by a person in the USA are covered . Foreign videos, movies, etc. that can be streamed to a device and viewed by a person in the USA are covered. You think that the USA Constitution doesn't cover foreigners? Or that they actually have to be here?
Wait a Minute! POTUS Obama's Regime rummaged through Federal Government records (IRS/tax records according to the Main Stream Media) and barely caught a News story. POTUS Obama's Regime bugged people (stingray, etc.) and it only came to light during the "Russian" investigations. POTUS Obama & His Regime did a lot of illegal surveillance of USA Citizen & people. These actions by POTUS Obama, et al, are a lot worse than asking for the logs. Actions speak louder than words.
LOL!!! Everyone seems to forget the time it takes to recharge an EV either at home or at a charging station. if "time is money", then the cost of time must be factored in. Nobody gets that the Tesla superchargers take much longer than a gas fill up and still don't have the range of most ICE Used cars. I don't know about anyone else but my time is worth a lot to me.
Fossil fuel power plant don't really change the environmental picture if that is where the EV's are getting their power. Coal usage in the USA has been crippled. Natural gas is the main source from what I read but nobody like that. The News carried a story that solar panel waste is extremely toxic so the cleanup and disposal of older units will be costly if and when the USA Governments permit newer, cleaner and more efficient ones to be installed -- particularly as replacements for the hazmat ones.
We are in the midst of a transition and forced transitions are more costly than natural transitions. This will take decades if done safely and properly. But, hey! When did the USA Governments give a crap about their citizens/taxpayers/subjects/slaves/revenue source?
Are our USA school systems so crappy that students and graduates don't understand what Free Speech means? The OP doesn't seem to know the distinction between Commercial Speech and Political Speech. Commercial Speech is highly regulated while Political Speech is highly unregulated. All the Governments in the USA strictly regulate Commercial Speech and no one thinks much of that practice. Even the Supreme Court agrees. Surprisingly, the OP is ignorant of this fact. (Which I initially learned about in the Government Schools.)
Please read history. Political change has, many times, started with anonymous speech. For example, without anonymous speech there would have been no rebellion in the American Colonies of Great Britain. Because many of the political tracts were published without attribution, the Crown could not find all the authors and punish them. The shear number of anonymous authors and means of publication is one of the reasons that the Colonies were united in their rebellion against Britain and successful in their Revolution. Simply stated, No Anonymity; No USA.
Reduced Instruction Set Computer = a set of attributes that allows it to have a lower cycles per instruction (CPI) than a complex instruction set computer (CISC) (Wikipedia)
Intel's Core chips are CISC.
RISC chips can do more work at the same speed than CISC chips. So, RISC chips are cheaper to run. All the older UNIX boxes used RISC chips and were powerhouses.
Today? No change in USA numbers. Where's the production of Electric Cars that could supply the need? When will the cost of Electric Cars reach the cost of Used cars in the USA? Where's the range to permit the driving range of an ICE Used car? When's the cost of a battery recharge going to match the cost of an ICE Used car's fillup? When are electric charging stations going to be able to handle the numbers and flows of ICE Used cars. Where are all the petro fueled electric plants necessary for electric cars going to be built? When are necessary electric plants going to be built?
"Rome wasn't built in a day" but so many people seem to think a switch to Electric/Renewable/Magical can be accomplished by the end of the year. It will take decades -- just like the ICE cars displacing the animal drawn "cars" and "trucks" of the past.
GM?
Remember GM?
GM quit the business and started the "New GM". Initially they tried to assume NO liabilities of the Old GM. (POTUS Obama was okay with the New GM screwing their customers, BTW.) The consumers caused such an uproar that the New GM and the POTUS had to back down on the liability scam.
GM killed off some of their car lines to "streamline" the corporation. They tried to sell Saturn cars but refused to help the new buyer by continuing to manufacture cars for 2 year until the New Saturn could handle their own manufacturing. The New GM shafted the Saturn workers and owners big time. 100's of lost families and lost jobs. The Saturn dealers also disappeared -- more lost jobs.
GM stock tanked and stockholders were left holding an empty bag. Nada. Nothing for their ownership and loyalty to the Old GM.
Frak GM and POTUS Obama!
How to cut down illegal cell phone calls? Use the cell-phone-signal blocking devices. Easy solution; effective solution. BUT, and Thanks-to-the USA-Federal-Government's-Forwarding-Thinking-Congress-and-past-POTUS, also illegal. Why does the Federal Government stick it's nose into every area of our lives.
You can resist technology "in place". Just use what you want and ignore the rest.
You can resist technology by moving "out of place". I have traveled to Ecuador, to South Africa, and to Mozambique. Ecuador and Mozambique are definitely full of non-technology places and one can move to any number of non-technical places. Of course, just visiting as I did, reveals the benefits of technology that I want to hold onto and reveals the ease of letting go of technology that I don't want to participate in. Technology is NOT an "all or nothing" affair -- it's a pick and choose thing. Any place is a place to let an uncomplicated life -- either totally or moving to a less complicated life. (Your question begs the question in my mind, "Don't young people get this?", i.e., that your life is full of choices that only you SHOULD make?)
Don't forget Al Gore, Jr. (the VicePOTUS of the USA and the DNC candidate for POTUS in 2000).
He served as a "Reporter" for the military newspaper but his 1 year tour was cut short (without a reason). Kept out of combat but receiving a "military service" designation. It was a sham service in comparison to all the others who fought and died in Viet Nam.
But does any one complain Prince Albert received preferential treatment?
You sure didn't! "Why?" may I ask.
A better question might be: "Why does Verizon sell to people who live in areas that they (Verizon) don't serve?"
I bought a Verizon Hot-Spot to use at a work site. The Verizon store personnel used a Verizon computer connected to the Verizon Internet to show a Verizon webpage that Verizon had Verizon coverage at the site. Verizon personnel happily took my money for their Verizon Hot-Spot and Verizon cellular service. When I took the Hot-Spot to that site, there was no coverage. Why did Verizon give their own personnel incorrect information to use while making sales>
That's not accurate.
Some jurisdictions require a permit for "Free Speech". The Governments aren't permitted to discriminate in the issuing of permits but a permit is definitely require.
Too bad that you aren't aware.
Really? "No nazis have been killed so far?" Is that true? How about No American Nazis have been killed so far? Is that true? Nope it isn't. Plenty of Nazis have been killed before the demonstration. American Nazis have been killed before the demonstration. And, if the alleged killer is convicted of 1st Degree Murder, he stands a high probability of being killed (if VA still has the death penalty or if the crime becomes a USA Federal Crime). Based on the news media reports, we can only assume that the victim hasn't a Nazi and that the detainee may be a Nazi. (Are all "White Supremacists Nazis?)
In your illustrations doesn't quite fit.
A robbery of a home with an unlocked door is "entering" illegally.
A robbery of a home with a locked door is "breaking and entering" illegally.
The penalty for "entering" is less than "breaking and entering", which it should be.
Failure to protect your stuff behind the door brings partial culpability.
People who have/share/send pictures of any sort always run the risk of having their pictures shared without their approval. Lock the door and don't send pictures that you don't want shared.
Many people, on both sides of the aisle, have stated that is is outside the responsibility for the Advisor. The Advisor is a fairly high level position--well above the analyst positions that more appropriately deal with this information. In other cases, the manager asks the employee to "look and see" if she needs the information. That is, the manager, the Advisor in this case, leaves the grunt work to the grunts.
Regardless, the information revealed was not necessary at the Advisor's level according to many people.
You seemed to have missed the point. The Obama Administration officials are not the investigative branch of the Executive Branch of the USA Federal Government. The Department of Justice with its FBI, etc., bureaus are the professional and appropriate investigative groups. The Obama Administration referred nothing to the DOJ/FBI/etc. and that, according to those raising the issue, blundered. The blunder may be inappropriate. unethical/political, or illegal--that's the purpose of this investigation into these actions.
Administrators administer; investigators investigate. For example, the Ambassador to the UN is not the appropriate person to investigate into the integrity of policies and actions of the opposition political party (or even her own political party). The Ambassador can refer questions to the appropriate groups and the appropriate groups, if deemed appropriate, will investigate. The question of whether the Ambassador accessing personal and private information is disturbing to many people.
Do you realize that people in the USA must have Medicare once they reach 65 years of age?
Do you realize that people who work in the USA must pay taxes into the Social Security system?
So why so why is Ayn Rand condemned for reaping the return on her work and wages?
Your comment is quite bizarre!
The only way, in the foreseeable future, for Renewable Energy to be the cheapest energy in the USA is to Outlaw the so-called "Non-renewable Energy". And that will not happen.
Plus, the ecological damage from certain forms of Renewable Energy is worse than Non-renewable Energy -- per a/. story.

It looks like a big tricycle, actually. I couldn't find a description of it having 4 wheels and meeting the definition of a car.

Hard lesson to learn. Hopefully, it's a lesson that he only needs to learn once.
