    No. If someone sends you a file encoded with MS' proprietary XML format, you shouldn't have to agree to anything just to be able to read it.

    As an ex-mormon still living in Utah with a large very mormon family and many mormon friends, I can agree with your post. Many people i know say they're voting for this or against that because it's what the church wants. Not "officially" of course, but they do let stuff slip out. As for the anti-gay legislation, there was an article in the newspaper about how the church denied having officially taken any side in the campaigning going on for that. I laughed out loud when I read that one.

    If they intentionally made it so you couldn't copy it, then yes, they are restricting our rights. This isn't a matter of obsolete hardware (8-Tracks), this is a matter of taking current technology (digital audio) which is very easily copyable (resellable) and modifying it with the express purpose of making it uncopyable.

    This isn't about them making it easy or possible to play on a different device. This is about them making it difficult or impossible to play on a different device. There's a bit of a difference there.

    Yes, of course! Non-Mac means Windows. And since Windows users can already buy from iTunes, then why do we need more non-Mac iTunes software?

    I'm sorry, but the term "Frivolous Lawsuit!" has been trademarked by SCO. Using this term for another company seriously cuts into the profits that SCO and affiliates hope to make from this trademark. Please cease and desist using this term in any way, shape, or form.

    Parents do, the way it should be. If your parents are cool with you getting a certain game, then you can get it. Otherwise, you can't. What's the big deal?

    I'm not a big Microsoft fan, but not all spyware is installed through IE or Outlook. Some people actually download programs that have spyware in them (generally small games and such).

    If it said "Evolution is a theory." then that would be okay. But stating that it is not a fact when nobody knows for certain whether it is or not seems rather ignorant to me.
    It could be fact, it could be wrong. Don't go saying it's not a fact if you don't know it isn't.
