Your perspective is WAY off. What are you doing on/. if you identify more with the bully than with the nerd? It would be you as the nerd with the grav gun, and you're pissed off and ready to beat up some bullies.
No, it's not that bad. They're just going to raise prices so I can pay to have my ISP filter out websites for some schmucks who are too lazy to monitor their children's web usage.
As an ex-mormon still living in Utah with a large very mormon family and many mormon friends, I can agree with your post. Many people i know say they're voting for this or against that because it's what the church wants. Not "officially" of course, but they do let stuff slip out. As for the anti-gay legislation, there was an article in the newspaper about how the church denied having officially taken any side in the campaigning going on for that. I laughed out loud when I read that one.
If they intentionally made it so you couldn't copy it, then yes, they are restricting our rights. This isn't a matter of obsolete hardware (8-Tracks), this is a matter of taking current technology (digital audio) which is very easily copyable (resellable) and modifying it with the express purpose of making it uncopyable.
This isn't about them making it easy or possible to play on a different device. This is about them making it difficult or impossible to play on a different device. There's a bit of a difference there.
This is actually more of a "I believe people should not take advantage of other people." and then taking advantage of them because that's the way the world runs.
I'm sorry, but the term "Frivolous Lawsuit!" has been trademarked by SCO. Using this term for another company seriously cuts into the profits that SCO and affiliates hope to make from this trademark. Please cease and desist using this term in any way, shape, or form. Thank you, and have a nice day. Or else we'll sue you.
who decides why someone/something is mature/immature?
Parents do, the way it should be. If your parents are cool with you getting a certain game, then you can get it. Otherwise, you can't. What's the big deal?
I'm not a big Microsoft fan, but not all spyware is installed through IE or Outlook. Some people actually download programs that have spyware in them (generally small games and such).
If it said "Evolution is a theory." then that would be okay. But stating that it is not a fact when nobody knows for certain whether it is or not seems rather ignorant to me. It could be fact, it could be wrong. Don't go saying it's not a fact if you don't know it isn't.
I couldn't find this language on Babelfish. Where can i find a translator?
They're not saying IE won't work without Windows, they're saying Windows won't work without IE.
No. If someone sends you a file encoded with MS' proprietary XML format, you shouldn't have to agree to anything just to be able to read it.

Yes, of course! Non-Mac means Windows. And since Windows users can already buy from iTunes, then why do we need more non-Mac iTunes software?

April Fool's isn't for a few more weeks. The ed's need to check their calendars.
No, HP can do whatever they want with their products. It only means that someone else can come along and make non-encoded ink cartridges to compete.
It's already here.

Not everyone uses NTFS/Windows.
Even more ironic that this Open letter is Open in the sense that only certain people get to read it. (At least, I couldn't find it anywhere to read.)

If you ever want to make something inaccessable, post a URL to it on /.

Actually, the 'Jurassic Park' browser is an actual UNIX 3D interface.
Don't forget the Mormons.

Speaking of Square/Enix... How long did it take Level 5 to come up with the name "True Fantasy"?
