Most Compaq stuff, excluding Proliant servers, has a combination head, a Torx T15, with a slot directly through it. If you don't have a Torx driver, any largish flat blade driver will do.
What's the point of using a mouse? I've seen Barcode scanners for around AUD$15, where as the cheapest optical mouse i've seen is AUD$35 or so. Seems to be easier and cheaper the buy the wand and get the driver, rather than buy a mouse and kludge it together. It's like using a hairdryer to dry dishes, it might work but a hairdryer costs more than a tea towel!
Mmmm yes. I think you are on to something. If he was paid originally to build it for the school or whatever the fuck he did, then all proceeds should go to said school, or the government, correct? I say we call some nasty federal type men!
Does the page concertina at all? If so its probably the registration.. either way if its under warranty you can call up and HP will send someone out to fix it.. at least here..
The HP 8550 doesn't have quality like the HP 4500 series. They print a lot faster, but every one that i have seen prints a lot worse quality than their younger brother.
Too bad the new HP laser printers absolutely suck (when they jam badly you'll need to dissassemble much of the printer. BLECH! Not to mention the new abundance of plastic were plastic doesn't belong) Uh. On what model do you have to "dissassemble much of the printer" to remove a paper jam?
I know of at least 4 major banks that have cheap and shitty inkjet printers for their workers (they also have larger laser printers, but not for use by people with local inkjets.)
If you need to print from a system which only outputs in PS, buy the version which supports it. It's also no good buying a low end plotter, and converting to HPGL2 and plotting, as the low end plotters usually only support GL/2 Lite. It is well worth spending the extra cash to get the PS option.
- medical care. Australia's socialized medical system is efficient and user-friendly; and my wife is an asthmatic. We'll either have to get medical insurance here, or be prepared to drive to Canada whenever she needs more medications
Why is that? I am Australian and I couldn't get any sort of cheap/discount/free medication in Canada when I lived there. Has something changed?
Ha. I just threw out a 20ft shipping container filled with those very click click IBM keyboards.. You should have spoken sooner and you could have had some!
This is the number one reason my office does not use Dell/IBM/Gateway machines. I don't have to ship them to who knows where for service. Dell provides onsite service for all their machines.
Since when was Downy soap? It was fabric softener last time I checked..

Actually, it's a Territory, not a state. Northern Territory.

Say, that sounds like the "cone of silence". Good idea 99! "Oh, max"
Your mother
I have no fucking clue how the fuck that got modded funny.
But.. I didn't say I want to convert X to Y, i'm just picking up a possible problem with someone elses suggestion.

What type of OKI? a C7000 series or C9000?
And usually I was fixing something simple like a worn pickup roller, or a blown fuser.
That is usually what goes wrong with most laser printers of any brand. Pickup rollers and fusers wear out. They make up 90% of the calls.

does the razor handle fuck up as badly as a cheap inkjet printer does?
Does it convert to HPGL2 Lite? That is what the base model plotters use. You need to buy a decent version to get full HPGL2.

But you can't do things WELL. You'd put millions of people out of work when we wouldn't have to fix all their mistakes!

IIRC the printer in the movie isn't actually a HP is it? I could be wrong tho.. Can anyone confirm that its something else?
Ha.

Correct, they are provided by a third party. Ask the dell rep to have Getronics service your system, I know they are good.
