Except this time PS3 was rendering the whole Midgar and not just a few people. And the character models were the modern prettier versions instead of the original Popeye-models.
I mostly agree on the Gamecube pad. The analogue stick is in a good position, and the buttons are simply brilliant. Big primary button (accept), a small secondary button (cancel), and X, and Y buttons are in the direction of the corresponding axis. Z is not as good but it is in the direction of its axis as well. Also the triggers are nice. But the d-pad on the Gamecube controller is awful, it is way too small and imprecise.
I like the Playstation's d-pad. Also, I've never had any problems with the position of Dualshock's analogue sticks.
You might be able to get a third-party controller with the analog stick in the "right place," since PS3 uses bluetooth for the controllers. If XBox 360's controllers use bluetooth too (I know they're wireless, not sure about bluetooth), you might be able to use its controllers with the PS3.
Doesn't the Unreal engine use ogg? Because they had an Unreal/PS3 techdemo at the press conference, and it had sounds. So... yes, as in "there is no hardware limitation for playing oggs on the PS3."
Don't you get it, you're supposed to pay them to get to catch these kinds of errors in the stories, before they hit the front page. They just push "accept" or "reject" and then (in theory) watch the daddypants@ -address for warnings.
If you have a DVD-ROM drive on your computer, you can rip the movie and encode it into an mp4 and watch it from a memory stick. You won't get the full resolution of the PSP, but i've heard it's still pretty good.
Any movie that you can encode to GBA movie player's format, you can encode into MP4 and play on your PSP from the memory stick. So no advantage there. Additionally, the GBA movie player's movie format is proprietary, and you can't view tehm anywhere except the GBA.
And the encoding software is very slow. You'd think that encoding a 240*160 movie would progress at three-digit-fps, but it took about 2 times the movie's playing time to encode on my Athlon XP 2000+.
Yeah, it looks cute, but it's not the kind of game that I'm looking for. It really doesn't seem to have any kind of goal. I'm sure I'd spend hours playing with it, but I don't think it could keep my interest for more than week.
Well, 1 game is very close to none, and I would have preferred to buy something new. And there have been no games released that I have been interested in in the 4 months after I bought my DS.
Like I said, there are no interesting games that have more than 10 minutes of gameplay. Ridge racer: boring, and I could get a superior version for the PSP. Rayman: boring. Wario ware: played that already on the GBA, and when I tried it at the store, it didn't feel nearly as fun as the first one felt at first.
Advance wars sounds pretty interesting, Castlevania looks like a must-buy, as well as Metroid. Doshin the giant doesn't interest me, nor does Animal crossing.
I bought Super Mario 64 with my DS, but I had played that on the N64 before as well. After that one game 4 months ago, there has not been one single game released for the DS that I have wanted.
On the other hand, I bought three games with my PSP, and would have bought more, but even as it is, my Visa bill will kill me next month.
Well, I guess I'm no Nostradamus then. Well, actually, my prediction is probably just as accurate as his were.
(...and of course you could say that if it has more than 1833 comments when it leaves the front page, my prediction would still be true, but that's no fun)
Let me give you a little inside information about God. God likes to watch. He's a prankster. Think about it. He gives man instincts. He gives you this extraordinary gift, and then what does He do, I swear for His own amusement, his own private, cosmic gag reel, He sets the rules in opposition. It's the goof of all time. Look but don't touch. Touch, but don't taste. Taste, don't swallow. Ahaha. And while you're jumpin' from one foot to the next, what is he doing? He's laughin' His sick, fuckin' ass off. He's a tight-ass. He's a sadist. He's an absentee landlord. Worship that? Never.
"Is your new console backwards compatible?"
"Well, it's not backwards compatible."
It definitely used the same character model for Cloud, not sure about Aerith, so it's possible.
So where's this twilight princess I keep hearing about? *grrowl*

At least I have never noticed anything...
Apparently you have played quite a lot of Tekken. I have not. You would kick my ass even if I had the wired controller and you had the wireless one.

Maybe if you are playing PS1 games. Try playing a two-player game of Burnout 3 using a PS2 dualshock and a PS1 dualshock.

Sony also unveiled the PS3's graphics chip, the RSX "Reality Synthesizer"
That name is fucking brilliant. Even better than Emotion Engine.
Opera's user javascript can use magical methods and properties that normal javascript (of which bookmarklets are a part of) can't.
Opera is doing just fine.
Oh no, Some-Guy-on-the-Internet doesn't like my website!
Hahaha, I get it! Java is slow and bloated!
So, when're they going to get openGL on this thing? I wanna play some BZFlag or Quake.
Or even some good games!

Now there's a business model.

Waiting for Castlevania.

I predict that this story will have 1833 comments before the it leaves the front page.
