    Are people taught to use "cubic yards" in US schools? I thought all science in the US used the metric system ?

    Well i sitt here in sweden with a 100/10 Mb connection. Normal speed from linux distrobution sites in sweden is 1-6 MB/s so i really like it =)

    I often get above 1 megabyte when downloading programs and stuff.

    And all this is for ~35 usd/month

    No its just a free program. I dont think you would call ICQ anything like public domain. So why claim that a GPL program is "For anyone without the ability to meaningfully edit a program, GPL is just like public domain." ?

    And please remember you cant sell a GPL program you can only ask for payment for the distribution of it as you dont have the copyright on the program.

    Hardship would not mean less stuf.. It means all people around the world with 1000+ times more than the avrage man will have a strong intrest in paying mersenarys to attack them. An example is that Bill Gates would really really not like it if say france tryed communisum, it would really fuck with his income coming from france. Plus what if it works!!!! It would mean that maybe the US is next so that would mean no more crazy amounts of money for Billy.

    What normal user would touch inittab or /etc/rc.d/rc ? rc is a bash script that runs other sript files =)

    I mean please you inovate by removing the possibility to hack your boot scripts ?

    Are you trying to say that to inovation is that you use xml or that you one program to parse the XML files ?

    Also what is this Open directory ? Might it be anything like openLDAP ?

    You must be blind or very new to computers! I have been using Linux sins 96, and the truth is that every year Linux gets more and more users, and more and more real world applications.

    Ha thats nothing... I played it on a P 133 with a Rage fury 2 card under linux...

    I think what make it posible was that John Carmack wrote the linux driver for the card =)

    Also 512*384 helped... and a framerate of 12 - 17 is playable i promise...

    What i want to say is that if the workforce gets smart things will change and the people with power will lose some or all that power.
