A WindowManager that uses less cup and graphics horsepower may help with your battery life. IceWM is available in many distros and you can run Gnome or KDE from within IceWM when you need to.
The Opera http://www.opera.com browser has zoom up to 1000%.(some values distort fonts) You can set a default value so he doesn't have to set it for each session/window.
The free (beer) version of Opera displays small adverts, but you can choose their category.. Or you can couch up USD40 for the registered version.
Even if you can assume that SCO has released their source code to these companies so that they could audit it for duplication with Linux code, who is to determine that SCO hasn't copied Linux code for their binary-only OS in violation of the GPL?
From what I have read about planters' social life in the Virginia coastal region in the late 1700's it was very common to use their wines to make a punch. Does this imply a wine that won't serve well by itself?
In the U.S. I suspect the Congress will finally see VoIP as justification for taxing any kind of internet connection as they did for other voice communications for many years!
Manatees don't live in places suitable for this application. You have to have water deep enough to put the turbine on a pylon above the seabed and still have it deep enough for vessel traffic to clear. And, of course you need strong, nearly continuous currents to make it worthwhile. (Think high latitudes)
This was pretty obvious when I visited Phoenix a few years ago. From a vantage point a few miles away you could see the turbulence crank up around mid-day and little patches of rainfall, most of which didn't reach the ground, as well as lightning.
This is not BS. If I learned that my bank allowed IM on the network that contains my account information I would probably be looking for a more reliable bank! This is not just an IT responsibility. People who work on a sensitive network must be made aware by management that if they compromise the security of the network they are subject to disciplinary action.
I think it's time to knock the dust out of your fans if they are shaking things up that much. A small paintbrush and a vacum can make a lot of difference in the noise you get from your system.
The lawyer's job is to obtain the best outcome for his client, whether the plaintiff or the defendant. The judge's is to ensure the trial is conducted 'fairly' according to established laws and procedures. Then it is up to the jury to determine guilt/innocence in a criminal proceeding or 'responsibility' in a civil suit.
Controlling caffiene intake may also help.

Opera is also feature-rich and still fast.
"The number and type of complaints are not unusual for a company in this industry. "
Doesn't this just mean that SCO's complaint rate is comparable to that of Microsoft?

I wonder if he'd have packed it into a corner of the cellar with a pipe to run his fuse into a proper spot for a "shaped" charge?
What? You don't think there'd have been any backlash??
Mr. T is safe from lung cancer.

Think "voice recognition" simplified.
Funny? It looks like very good advice.
They probably just noticed that 30 seconds wasn't long enough to flush the pipes from the street to the faucet.
I could save a bit on clothing expenditures?
Now THAT's a real bandwidth hog !!

Of the Times reporting RUMORS as though they were facts and a bunch of gullible people swallowing them whole and flying off the handle!
...from the Leonid meteor shower, of course.
