Excellent use of the "straw man" argument. Set up an embarassing premise in your first sentence, then spend the rest of the post tearing the hell out of it. Well done!

Well, duh. That's what it's called. If you don't own a printing press, freedom of the press doesn't apply to you. There's even a proverb about it.
Yeah, internet's changing it...very slowly. Too slowly. Only problem is, on the internet the biases are much much worse, though they're usually quite open about it. Unlike the media, which tries to hide it.

Sure, investigative reporters take risks, but they're risks that serve their own bias. Unless you're talking about the local news investigating crooked auto repair shops. It's the whole activist idea of using journalism to do "good" instead of reporting boring facts.

Well, it doesn't cost THAT much to ship products overseas, even cars. The rates for shipping large things from Asia to America is surprisingly cheap. And that's retail rates, the car companies have a fleet of ships...
Everyone in the PC world worries about cost as their main consideration. Well, that's only an issue if you have one system, and you pay for that yourself. Real Computers, individuals don't buy them, and believe it or not, price is occasionally not the first and last consideration.
All modern filesharing software allows you to set upload speed limits. Do it. No offense, but this is exactly the kind of crap that ruins it for everybody. I'd have been pissed if all the sudden my link slows down because my HTTP GET can't get through due to 40 people downloading Gigli and Catwoman.
Wow, a legal torrent! First one ever, I suppose. Even had to tag it as being legal due to natural assumption by moderators that it's probably dodgy, as happened when someone posted a torrent to GTA4 or whatever earlier today.
My point was, to use the traffic features, you'd have to plan out a route every time you went somewhere. This is usually too much trouble (it was for me, anyway, even though I could store preprogrammed routes).
Yeah, I always see cool stuff we don't have overseas. That, and a few amazingly cheap cars that don't suck entirely. I guess it is a function of the market. That, and a different corporate culture that makes different choices.
That's only useful if you don't know where you're going. I had a GPS in my car, and only used the navigation features when I had a trip to an unfamiliar place. Using it around town is kinda pointless. It's good for seeing where you are, but I never used route navigation. I never saw any taxis do route navigation, either.
I was waiting for someone to mention that. Evidently, one of the uses of the plane was, after its bombload had been expended, was to simply fly around the enemy countryside, irraditating the place. My kind of weapon.
Hm, usually people point to schools when they propose cancelling science projects. You seem to refer to greater U.S. dominance and world peace as goals. Make up your mind, are you a left-wing loonie or a right-wing nut?
Nice redneck bashing, but actually robots such as this one will soon be used for crop harvesting. This will enable greater amounts of food to be made with the same number of people, thus alleviating world hunger.
First, your/me should be on a new line by itself. Second, this isn't IRC. Third, do you say that im public?
Great idea you decided to wait, as companies that make military gear generally don't sell to anyone who isn't a government. Keep the protest going, though. I predict your boycott will have 100% efficiency.
Put them back in the earth from whence they came. Right now, millions of tons of uranium are irridating the area around them. They haven't been dug up.

HAHA that's so funny. Oh, it's not. Even if it weren't anti-American, it's still about as funny as a "Ziggy" cartoon.

Never used one, eh?

Yes, most people live in modern cities these days. How trite of me to forget Old Europe.

World hunger is Bush's fault, not the Swazi people's fault. How dare you blame the victim.

Mental masturbation.
At least they're deploying into liquid, instead of sending the probe into the desert at 350mph.
I knew someone could slip mindless political correctness into a science discussion.
