Obviously you haven't heard of jury nullification. People are allowed to judge according to their conscience, not just whether the person broke the law or not. It's supposed to be our last line defense against unjust laws, but of course in this case it's tricky because it's a law being made, and I don't think there was a jury. But still, implying laws shouldn't have any basis in morality is ridiculous.
Um....ignorance isn't a valid argument in a court. "Wait...but I didn't know that was the law!" Doesn't matter, even if they are making a precedent in this case. What he did was morally wrong and he should be punished. Although I disagree with prison, I'd have to go with a hefty fine.
"The irony of it was that the operating system was doing exactly what we'd told it to do"
Funny, that's how it was explained to me by my computer science teacher my freshman year in high school. He said, "The problem with computers is that they do exactly what we tell them to."
Don't forget, Brown stole a lot of stuff for The Da Vinci Code from the book "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", and to a lesser extent "The Templar Revolution". He just put some nifty fiction story on top of it. Most over-hyped book I've ever heard of (besides Harry Potter.....just don't get me started on those).
If by chance you are sued and you stand up to them, you could be part of a watershed court case that results in the laws being changed. Hell, I can see it going up to the Supreme Court. After that, win or lose, you can make some bucks writing about your experience.
They guys working on Final Fantasy also went scuba diving, to get what the bubbles would look like for those "liquid cushion" things that they have the soften the fall of soldiers and vehicles.
I think f/x guys just like making up excuses to go scuba diving;).
I just downloaded and listened to the Grey Album, and it's interesting, if nothing else. It's fairly easy to spot the samples...the only thing that DJ Danger Mouse seems good at is making beats, which is probably what he should stick to.
Although obviously the White album is superior (hell, I was just listening to it today, along with Sgt. Pepper's - how appropriate!), the Black Album is some of Jay-Z's best work to date. I'm interested in what it will sound like...
Trying to have everybody chip in can be a problem though - take the ISS for example. Because we have to keep it in a particular orbit to satisfy the Russians, it's useless as a jumping off point to the Moon, Mars, etc.
I guess it depends on "which" Tetris theme you're talking about (since it had a few you could choose from) but the most popular one is actually based off of a Russian folk song, Korobieniki. The band Ozma did a cool rock version of it a few years back. I would link to their mp3.com site where you could get it, but....yeah. I think you can find it on p2p networks though.
Rasputin Music has a pretty good record collection...but I guess it's a lot easier to find real record stores in the SF Bay area. I also get vinyl from eBay and random stuff at thrift stores.
Clear Channel's recent decision to replace O'Hare airport as a landmark for the traffic updates in Chicago with the Allstate Arena due to a marketing agreement?
...because I put a mini-discount card thing on my keychain, so if I lose my keys, there's a chance that someone who finds it will take it to the nearest Albertson's (as the little card says to) and a cashier can just scan the barcode and they know where to return my keys to.
I'm not saying Microsoft isn't being paranoid (and ridiculous) about the whole thing, and of course no one will be confused, that's not the point. I'm just saying Mike doesn't have a chance.
Does this mean I can sue Dr. Nick Evans for stealing my domain name?
And, more importantly, my likeness without my consent?
(This would have been a lot funnier if he still owned the just nickevans.com domain that had a flash page with a big picture of him on it, but he doesn't anymore...)
Hell, I have a GeForce 3 and it still runs fine on my machine. I've had no hiccups at 1280x1024, and I think all detail levels maxed.
...in his iTunes music library he has the artist of the song "Stuck in the Middle with You" as Bob Dylan....fishy...

Same goes for the jurors on that trial.

I would probably say "Revolution 9" is more indicatave of sampling use.
I just downloaded and listened to the Grey Album, and it's interesting, if nothing else. It's fairly easy to spot the samples...the only thing that DJ Danger Mouse seems good at is making beats, which is probably what he should stick to.
He still does, but I guess he only owns part of the catalogue. He's in debt over a bank loan right now though and might have to sell it.

What a big waste of money that was.
Sorry - if you want to look for the song it'll probably be spelled "Korobeiniki".

a "prosumer" type camcorder for that price range, probably something like a Canon GL1 (or I guess they have GL2's nowadays don't they)...
Guy is in California, lawyer is in New York, suit filed in Denver, companies are in Cyprus and British Columbia. Yeah, it's a little confusing.
Or if he only tries to get petite women!
I realize it wasn't just talking about "record stores". My bad.
Rasputin still rocks though.

Clear Channel is worse than the devil.
Exactly, whenever I say I'm studying 3-D modeling/animation and say "what Pixar does", everybody understands and is interested.
Pixar = new hotness
