It seems it would be a hard argument to make that anything was doing irreparable harm to Apple when they are currently the largest publicly traded company in the world.
No it doesn't, the source of the phrase is "the most stringent protection of free speech would not protect a man falsely shouting fire in a theater and causing a panic". Seems pretty clear there is no problem if you have no intent to cause harm.
And to be fair to Samsung, the decision to use MTP instead of USB storage when connecting the device to a computer wasn't theirs. That was a change Google made to Android starting with Honeycomb.
My Galaxy Nexus has none of those issues and is a solid phone that I'm very happy with. Since my personal anecdote trumps random person on the Internet's anecdote, Q.E.D.
Yeah you would, the home screen on all Samsung's phones have widgets. The pictures of the Samsung phones that look a little like iOS are showing the app tray, not the home screen.
Google has plenty of IP, how come they've never exercised their "fiduciary responsibility" to start a patent war? You're just making excuses for Apple.
What relevance is the number 195,000? It's meaningless unless you can compare it to the percent of deaths from preventable medical mistakes in other countries.
Those words would sound funny with "est" at the end of them, but that's just because they are not in common usage. There's nothing inherently wrong with them. I would have no problem with a word such as "interestingest", it is logical and the meaning would be perfectly clear to people.
What is painful or unfortunate about the existence of "stupidest". It clearly *should* exist as it simply follows the normal pattern of appending "est" to a word to form the superlative.
I must have missed the part about Google making it more difficult for people to install apps from 3rd party sources. Maybe you could point me to where you saw that.
Not everyone is down on the semantic labeling concept. Some people like plain old folders. For example my girlfriend switched back instantly from the new Gmail to the old one for that very reason.
I'm confused. Gmail has never had plain old folders. If anything they've improved the interface for people who prefer plain folders (like me) since adding the "Move to" menu in addition to the "Labels" menu.
But "God particle" and "goddamn particle" are not the same. While "goddamn particle" came from a prominent physicist, the actual name that people use in the media came from the editor of a prominent physicist and the bowdlerized word has none of the same connotations as the original.
Oh yeah, the part about the edge detailing. How could I ignore that. The Galaxy Tab has smooth edges. So does the iPad. You're right, no one could have come up with that on their own.
The HP Touchpad is significantly thicker (like twice as thick) and it has a rubber ring around it that makes it feel a bit like a child's toy. It's like it comes pre-loaded with a bumper
Oh, it sounds a lot like you're saying they made their design different from Apples by "reducing the devices functionality with useless bezels or hard coded buttons". I'm still not sure how any of what you've said since my previous post refutes me. Sounds like a bunch of corroborating evidence to me.
One fights for freedom of religion (as long as it's *their* religion) and the other fights for freedom from religion.
That sounds like a pretty major difference to me.

Why do you think Samsung phones being popular is a trend or fad? Maybe they're actually making good phones that do what people want.
Right, seems to me the charging mat would be more convenient. Having a charger built into the laptop too would probably be nice when traveling though.
Yeah you would, the home screen on all Samsung's phones have widgets. The pictures of the Samsung phones that look a little like iOS are showing the app tray, not the home screen.
Not alone, they have a lot of competition from other corporations competing to control US policy. Did you have a point?

Where did Apple get that nice pull-down notification center idea?

Knives are for the kitchen, people don't need to cut and tear their food while eating. Well, usually. There are exceptions.
I disagree. Invalidating as many patents as possible is best for everyone. A settlement just means Apple can sue someone else for the same stuff.
You don't suppose a hemisphere sized inferno would have any impact on the atmosphere?
AT&T doesn't even give me NASA TV, I need to pay extra for it.

If it was going to be Cheney 2.0, his running mate would be Beth Myers since she's the head of the campaigns VP search committee.

Sure there are infinite possible ways to unlock a device, but they are not all equal. For example twist can't be done with one hand.
