Black holes are not nearly enough to account for the missing mass from dark matter. Remember dark matter isn't a missing small percentage of what we can see, it makes up 4 times more matter then what can be observed.
Obviously Android IS Linux, but it's not a full blow Linux distro, and that is what you were talking about. Even standard, non-rooted Android doesn't dictate what you can or can not run on it though. Your complaints all seem to be iPhone complaints, maybe you should give Android a try before deciding you wouldn't want it on a tablet.
Actually, if I spent the money for a tablet what I would want to do with it is run applications that were designed to work properly with a tablet. So no, a full blown Linux distro wouldn't let me do that. OTOH, a regular rooted Android install would fit the bill nicely.
It's obvious that the OP was talking about compression on the moon from tidal forces, not just tidal force. Since the moon is in tidal lock with the earth this is basically zero for earth. And since tidal forces actually follow an inverse-cube law, not inverse-square, the tidal compression from the sun is not really worth mention either.
Ok, I guess I did assume he views taxes as a moral issue, but that's really the only sensible interpretation.
If he doesn't then I'm not sure where his comment comes from as I certainly have never heard a liberal say that taxes are immorally low but I regularly hear conservatives compare their taxes to legalized robbery. All the liberals I know actually prefer low taxes, but only as low as can be afforded.
casinos exploiting human failings to make millions and millions of dollars is legal. People exploiting casino failings to make millions and millions of dollars is illegal.
Sorry, but that's a pretty foolish thing to say. How can high taxes be immoral? If high taxes were immoral, who gets to decide what counts as a high tax? Republicans? (LOL!) The current taxes rates are quite low by historic standards so they must not be immoral, right?
I'm sure it will keep getting revived until we actually reach the point where we have it. It seems like a good idea and is probably inevitable to some extent. I take it you disagree?
The rumor is just stupid on the face of it. Google would not have just released a phone that could not be upgraded to the next version of the OS, due out just a few months later.
My line of thinking on the snooze button is: If your alarm goes off, and you have no time to hit the snooze button without it mattering, stop setting the alarm late.
Some people want to have time to relax in the morning: read the news, check email, whatever. But if you're too tired on a given day those things can be sacrificed for a few more minutes in bed. OTOH, if you set your alarm so you never have time to spare in the morning then you are running around every morning urgently getting ready to run out the door. Hardly a pleasant way to live.
That's not true. Wikileaks protects their sources as much as any journalist does, and for the exact same reason. If you don't protect your sources, you won't have any sources to protect.
Not just Thailand, all over the world various people eat insects. The only thing wrong with it is that many people aren't accustomed to it.

Maybe you're right. But partial legalization through "scam" laws is still better then no legalization at all.

Way to not make this political, jackass. Think you could have made your point without taking the opportunity to jump on progressives?

As opposed to what the casinos do?

I do and considered going on to point out that ascribing morality to taxes at all was silly. Why do you think I don't realize that?

Care to explain that theory? I don't have time to re-watch every Hannibal Lecture movie right now.
You'll probably need either a browser that supports proxies, the default one does not, or you could set up a VPN on your phone.
It's not relevant to developing to iOS right now, I'm pretty sure I said it was for Android. Just an example of what they could do.
Android already has a basic cloud based dev tool. I'm sure it's fairly limited right now, but that could change.
I'm sure it will keep getting revived until we actually reach the point where we have it. It seems like a good idea and is probably inevitable to some extent. I take it you disagree?

Well, Andy Rubin said it. For what that's worth. See here starting around 6:00.
You're right about the science, but you didn't see any fiction in 2012? Really?
I just discovered 4 new plants just by reading slashdot. I'm pretty pleased with myself.

My can't do that, I disable it when I want to sleep till noon.
Great, unless it puts the whole country out of commission first.
