OK, so here's what we need to do. Everybody fire up Gimp and start putting out really embarrassing pictures of Bin Laden. Show him in suggestive poses with drugs, booze, women, etc like some of these herehere and here. Distribute them to your friends who can put them on their web sites. Eventually the whole front page of Google's image search will be full of these images. Then unsuspecting protesters will construct their posters out of these and hey presto, score one for the good guys. (Hey if they were careless enough to put Bert on their poster who knows what else they might overlook?)
Some days you have to take delight in the simple pleasures.
During this time while military operations are at their height, the
media is not advertising the weaknesses of our weapons, nor are they
particularly highlighting our internal dissent. Then again, I wouldn't
want them to. These things could be used against us. For example, what
would you say if you saw a report on CNN that 90% of our missiles were
heat seeking and they could easily fooled by placing a ring of campfires
around the periphery of the enemy encampment? That certainly would be
interesting information. It certainly would demonstrate the fallibility
of attacks that rely on high tech. But it would not be appropriate at
this time.
Later, after the attacks have diminished we will undoubtedly see reports
ad nauseum on the weaknesses of America's high tech forces. In
the months after the Gulf war, I remember being left with the impression
that our patriot missiles didn't work, our smart bombs were terribly
inaccurate and the snazzy photos, showing American ordinance in action,
had invariably been doctored or "enhanced". All of this came from the
American media.
Well, based on the link that was given, it would appear that you have exactly that right, in Canada.
Furthermore, in this article, written about Germany's "collection societies" it is also suggested that the collection of a levy legalizes copying.
"Some rights holders are not too happy with the levy system," says Bernt Hugenholtz, a University of Amsterdam law professor.
"It legitimizes private copying."
The copyright holders may want to have their cake and eat it too. They may want me to pay for any pirating that may occur and despite those payments, be restricted from making my own copies. But it appears there are dissenting legal opinions on this. In any case, I don't think that the copyright holder's claims have been challenged in court. Please let me know if I am wrong, since that may be the only way that this issue can be resolved in some countries where copying is not clearly legal.
I understand what a drag it can be to actually click on those pesky links that people litter their posts with so I'll sum it up for you:

Section 80 does not legalize (a) copies made for the use of someone other than the person making the copy; and (b) copies of anything else than sound recordings of musical works. It does legalize making a personal copy of a recording owned by someone else.
This page doesn't look official or anything but it purports to be quoting Canadian law, and the law doesn't seem to be ambiguous.
So the real question is, if I as an American purchase some of these cds (say by mail order) can I then legally make copies of my friends cds in the US?
This is what I love about Microsoft. They are consistantly overzealous and dumb. Why in the world would they want to prevent maintainers of anti Microsoft sites from displaying a "Created by Microsoft" logo? Anyone who did such a thing would be instantly and blatantly exposed as a hypocrite and their anti Microsoft message diluted.
I suppose that they are trying to prevent people from disparaging the logo itself, or using the logo to criticize Microsoft. It won't work. All you have to do is fire up gimp, add your own customizations and viola! You've got a parody. Ain't nothin' that Microsoft's lawyers can do about that.
I checked out your link. It seems that it is dead. I guess the good people at Islam Way never said any of that ominous sounding stuff about proactive Jihads. Pardon me while I breathe a sigh of relief.
Before clicking on the links below, you should keep in mind that numerous Arab leaders have condemned the terrorist attacks of September 11th. In addition, regarding the reports of celebration in response to the news, they have assured us that these reactions took place before the people knew the enormity of the attacks and that most Arabs were genuinely opposed to the acts.

Myself, having written in a big circulation paper that the jewish-controlled media molds american public opinion into supporting israel, got retributed by a whole editorial page calling me a nazi.
Goodness me, you make one innocent comment about the Jews running an international conspiracy to control the media and thereby sway public opinion to their nefarious cause, and those dirty Jews overreact and call you anti-semitic. Let me guess, your theories about Jewish bankers conspiring to bring down the German economy probably met with equal opposition didn't they? That's the problem with those Jews, every time you come up with a good theory about them they refuse to take it lying down.
Well, in the mean time, keep up the good work. You're a credit to the Reich.
city of god !?!?!?!?
Come now, not even the most rabid New Yorker would go that far!
I'm not going to start panicking just yet.
Now if you told me that the Cubs had just won the pennant, it's bomb shelter building time.

Sounds to me like you are accusing the biotech companies of making a better product in an insidious attempt to lure those poor people into buying it.
