I personally have had nothing but problems with plexator. I thing they suck and are over priced. i have an old USB IOMEGA burner and I have never had a prob w/it. It burns everything on any disc Ive bought. It's slow 4x4x12 but I have had no probe w/copy protection, etc. just use the right software, and It really like when I boot into Linux and use the KDE burning software. I use XP also ( for work related issues) and it works great w/roxio and NERO

I find it the opposite. Gnome/gtk is much faster on all my systems then KDS/QT my slowest system is AMD 166 w/128 meg ram. KDE is so slow that its not even worth installing on that box. GNOME how ever is no slower that when I have Winblows 95 on it. My fastest Box is an AMD 550 with 294 Megs and the same as KDE works Fine on it GNOME is still faster.

So this being said if you are in a postion of power at your"fortune 500 co." Its a wonder our economy is in such a crappy state.
What planet are u from go check oput the list of ximiam coderes 1/2 of them work at Red Hat and the gnome that come with Red hat is just a tweaked version of Ximian wich is just pre packeged and marketed GNOME. Its free software remember, All these guys have to have jobs somewhere a.k.a... Red hat Ximian, Sun , etc etc. They all contribute to GNOME.org. Then theay aklll tweak it how they want.

I have had strange probe with Mozilla also. (Ive been useing it since 8.1) the 9.99 vr works great on my Linux box, but the win98 ver sucked and crashed on me, I went back to 9.8. I have never had a major Prob w/ any linux ver. But the winblows versions have always been wierd for me. 9.8 is the best for win98 so far, but I use my linux box more.
i have 3 linux boxes: a) Firewall running RH 7.2 w/2.4.18 kernel with LIDS b)web server/dtatbase server running Slackware 8.0 also updated kernel 2.4.18 no LIDS c)Worlstation running RH 7.2 w/2.4.18 and KDE 3.0 I used to use Gnome but the newer QT versions are much prettier that GTK 1.2. I might switch back when GTK 2.0 comes out and they manage to speed up Nautilus. If i was a prgrammer I would but im not and I do not have the time (unfortunatly) to learn. But I love to use open stuff and my winbox is only used for digital stills and vids and collecting dust.
Anyway Im overal very pleased with Mozilla. ANd the guy a few post back that said he couldn't get flash to work in his ????!!!! Ive never had a pro. Just put the flash plugin in youre/netscape/plugin dir which both the win and linux ver create by default. the win version has an installer if AI remember correctl, and the linux version you just dnload the the flash.tar file(or whatever it is called) to the plugins dir, unpack it and fore up the browser. Thats it. pretty easy if you ask me....

You either play the "Game" or chart you own destiny and open your own business. Either you lay the rules or your gonna play the game your whole life. And beleive me as far as the work part of life goes, its a game. So get a handkerchief to whipe that brown off your nose.
And that is how it is my friend. People are petty and shallow and controlling in the corperate world. The only way to make it right is open up a business and run it right w/no Political b.s. (good luck)and maybe the world will see and follow. There are some companies out there that are great to work for. But I bet most of there positions are taken.

Step, lightly, leave no trace, keep an open mind and open eyes and all will be fine. Allway remeber people as a whole are generally good. The trick is getting only these type of people to work for you or you work with. Good luck.
