I just have a hard time believing that ANY vote counts. That politicians would allow us unwashed to decide who gets in and who doesn't. The Canadian system isn't much better, but it does seem a wee bit harder to fake and fraud.
His attacks on those trying to out naked short selling I thought were vindicated by his lousy performance on Dancing with the Stars. This is somewhat more resolving. I bet Bud Burrell saw this coming months ago.
With M$ in the game, the category is officially written in stone. Here to stay. A slightly successful Zune will simply sell more iPods. That's how it works. M$ should massage Zune's marketing and designing for the alternative class. They could own that market. Brown was almost a good idea. It was anti-iPod. But Zune will never over-take iPod. It's immediately seen as an also ran. Had they positioned it as anti-iPod they would have done better.
2.4 ghz seems to be the frequency that messes with me. Had to go back to a long, long ethernet cable between two Macs in the house because the network was giving me headaches. And cell phones have always given me headaches if i use them for more than a few minutes. having 2 on in the house seems to have the same effect as a wireless network between computers. Finally, 2.4 wireless home phone systems also cause me grief. Have to use a headset or a mere 5 minutes into the conversation I'm in headache-city again. A 5.8 system I was given, married with the wireless computer network was the worst I've ever expereinced. Had to ditch the 5.8 phones. Though, it seems that over time I can get slowly used to it.
The most interesting moment was during a thanksgiving last year. My wife was working in the kitchen on the main floor, getting the dinner ready, while I was downstairs playing with our children. Had the wireless Apple Airport Express unit in the kitchen with my wife, and the wireless network card turn on in my Mac downstairs. I told her that in the next 2 hours or so, plug the unit into a wall outlet whenever she wanted, but write down the time, and I'd write down the time I think she plugged it in. She did it twice. About 35 minutes between each time, about 40 minutes into the test. I nailed it to the minute both times. Whenever she plugged it in, my eyes would within minutes get very dry, I'd get the cranky, dull headache, and the most odd feeling was the sense that I was moving in slow motion, but only for a minute or so. I of course realize none of this is supposed to be happening, but it happens far too consistently, for far too long for me personally to rule out. I can tell when a friend, client, or cafe has wireless within seconds of entering the home.
Probably apocrifull, but the story was an M$ support employee took a call from a lady that was having trouble with her footpeddle (mouse on floor, foot on mouse).
That's exactly how you're SUPPOSED to do it in business. If Google started selling books and crap, we'd all start losing track of what Google means. Like McDonalds now. Or Amazon. M$ can't get their act together anymore cuz they;'re into everything.
I love how big fat Sony continues to not get it. They are no better than M$ with all their me-too (in)-action. Apple OWNS the "shuffle" market too now. But boy, they must have gotten some pretty good recognizance to put something out this fast. Good for them on that front. What is also good actually for Sony in this case, is that they don't have to design any interfaces, which they blow severely at.
Beautifully put, Demanchina. I would only say that Stewart needed only do what he did. I don't agree that the one who points to an injustice need be the one who solves it. I'd love to hear the conversations in the hall at CNN. I wonder if they know that this was as important a moment as it was.
I liked how Begala washed over the bulge question. A liberal, ready to punce, but won't go after the obvious issue of something on the back of a Republican's back during 3 debates. There is protection there beyond what we can know.
The baby monitor and all the high tech crap will come between the mother and the baby's natural connection. My wife always heard the baby before any audio was discernable on the monitor. We ditched it, and all was well.
2nd law of thermodynamics. Entropy. Like the remote thing meantioned at the beginning of this post. More remotes; not less. Plus, more money in divergence anyway. (Hope I didn't repeat too much). We'll have digital cellphones for awhile. And then we won't. We'll have PDA phones for awhile. And then we won't. Give 'em time. The universe plugs on, onward. not backwards.
I'm a high-end audio buff and have heard Ogg Vorbus, and it's truly superior. But it's too late. Ogg Vorbis has a lousy, lousy name that the public will never accept (even "ogg" is lame). And it won't take over MP3 cuz that's been locked-in. Ogg is the betamax of the music-swopping industry.
I'd buy CDs again if the price were dropped. Forget encryption and P2P. $8 CDs will get them moving off the shelves again. Oh ya, and better music would help too.

...stop buying gadgets.
I thought this story was going to be about MobileMe.
I haven't used virus/"vulnerability" software on my Mac since OS 7. Still don't in OS X Leopard. All's well.

You beat me to it. But I can't help wondering if what they've "discovered" is just an even better way to support MOND.

I get headaches, a feeling of being in slow motion, dry eyes, and fogbrain whenever I'm around them. Ugh.

Why is this guy a "sir"? For inventing the Web? C'mon. I smell Illuminati.

Their trying to get rid of one of the last bastions of free speech. Long live KPFK FM.
Oh, I get it...Drag on!
Fastest on any platform. still in beta. But no security issues to note yet.

McLuhan predicted this Circa 1960.
