I know its simple but.... how about just replacing your television with a computer... reduces your daily intake of hypnosis and makes for great conversation (now that your having one)...
Anywhere south of Canaveral Should be good.. I live in Melbourne (south about 30 mins) and it looks great anywhere on the beach. In reality, you pretty much have an unobstructive view anywhere east of the barrier islands. Closer to the cape you will have nightmare traffice but its not all that bad. We still don't have many hotels that are open south of Cocoa (Indian Harbor, Melbourne, Indialantic, etc..) as far as I know, the Hilton, Holiday Inn, and Quality Suites are still closed because of last years hurricanes..
... is, what about exposure to Large electromagnetic fields such as motors, power lines, cell phones, monitors, etc.... that's the question that scares the hell out of me...
Ahhhaaa! Acually you could hypothesize, "It isn't the label on the box, it's the fact that Symantec products are windows based, why write a virus for an OS that you don't write software for:)"
Hmmm.. food for thought
...when you try and RMA a hard drive, they send you "refurbished" hard drives, which is just a nice way of saying that they are hard drives that others have already RMAd!
This is common practice among almost all, but a few, hard drive, CDROM, Motherboard, Video Card, etc.. manufacturers... With the exception of On-Stream, I have yet to find a company that Doesn't do this!
If you read the.pdf file available on Trustmatta's web site they even say "The information is probably not entirely correct, as we are not authorised to perform network scanning and probing to verify the existence and accessibility of specific hosts and networks..."
Also, after reading the article, I just don't see how they have done anything short of simple nslookups and email address searching... Hardly revolutionary or eye opening!
You could also run some gratuitous traceroutes (with Name Resolution enabled)and take a look at how some of the larger backbones are naming their routers.... I find this rather interesting sometimes when I'm tracking down latency issues... either that or I'm WAAAY to much into my work;0
I find the judge's decision pretty interesting considering the following excerpt was leaked last December from Eric Harris', and Dylan Klebold's Journal following their suicide at Columbine:
..god damnit do not blame anyone else besides me and V [Klebold] for this. don't blame my family, they had no clue and there is nothing they could have done, they brought me up just fucking fine. don't blame the school, don't fucking put cops all over the place... i don't know who will be left after we kill but damnit don't change any policies just because of us. it would be stupid....
You can read the full excerpt in this month's issue of Harpers Magazine (the above which I gleefully paraphrased...)
I'm not sure about #1 but I have been running an S-Corp for 9 years and I know all the positives and negatives surounding contracted employment.
On my side of the fence it's awsome to farm work out to contracted employees. But in some cases (mostly on a project to project basis) this may not be good for the contractee. #2 is right on target!
D.
Umm... Does this mean I have to throw out my copy of MSDOS 2.0?
Seriously folks... I still have it... *sigh*, the memories... hacking all night to make that "just right" ansi.sys square menu line up right! Ooooh, and don't forget 4dos.com!! Win3.11 would never be the same... I can even remember downloading a sweet little program called NCFtp for Dos... "Why do they keep giving thanks to this think called Linux?"
It would seem that BOTH videos are correct, and that the question of whether or not somebody is hiding something depends entirely upon your own point of view."
The response to THG by AMD is unbelievable... almost funny. It's like saying, "Hey, that new car you just bought goes really fast, but you might want to know that if the muffler falls off, the car will die in under two seconds!" and then turn around and make an excuse like "But you can fix the problem by buying one of these handy temperature devices that isn't manufactured for resale by ANYONE to the general public!"
AMD should be ashamed... and so should most Motherboard manufacturers!
More importantly... I also use Google to test my client's internet connections... If that baby doesn't come up within seconds (99% of the time), I know I have a problem to fix:)
It appears to me (am I goggling?) that Judge Patel's decision reflects his(her)total lack of understanding when it comes to technology. How in the world could any "public" entity stop any teen hack, 3733T, script kiddie from obtaining anything they want online.. let alone me:).... It's just unfortunate that the entity known as Napster has put up with public war machine....Stupid Biatch!.....

This same story was also covered on NPR... Here's a Link!
I don't particularly feel like rebooting in the middle of LOTR or whilst playing mp3s.... I'll stick to Hardware...
