Maybe after that you can read "Mind's I" by Douglas Hofstadter and Daniel Dennet and "The Emperor's New Mind" by Roger Penrose. These two are not mind-blowing in as many different ways as G-E-B but are mind-blowing, just the same.
They could put wires around it (as you suggested), or, transmit it deep under ground... using the beam itself as a means to bore (or melt) a tunnel through to the receiver.
I can and would do it... but norweigan kids would hate me for doing it... they would have to study it in school. I prefer to be a hero for saving those poor norweigan kids. Therefore I hereby swear not to do it.

Hey, maybe if I describe it properly and clearly list out all the steps involved, I may get a patent for the way I pick my nose!
