A company should always be in control of their own IT infrastructure, software, security etc. Give that away and you lose your stability and probably your precious data.
In any case, most companies have a 3 year replacement plan of the desktops etc. Looking at the software that you use, a bit of Word, Excel, mail, your computer has been fast enough for many years now.
Shooting people is never a solution. Here is a person that is betrayed by his own country on ethics, moral and honesty.
As a response he chooses with great risk to bring these out for the public to see.
The response by this goverment alone, by starting the smear campaign etc. is proof alone there is something rotten going on.
Try to imagine the thoughts, choices and feelings that soldier must have had and still has for making that choice? Maby shooting would be a relief, can't imagine he's too happy.

Also Japan is one of the few countries that have a sorta ecological balans, for example the use of trees (chopping them down etc.). The number stays stable. In contradict with many other countries where we eat / burn / use as much as we can. Resources are limited, we all know it, act like it!!

No cheats on PS3? They legalised the biggest cheat: aimbot, little skill needed there. wasd + mouse, only thing you need

Since Firefox and Adblock (/ghostery) has been around i wonder why people still spent all the energy on adds. As long as you look, click, discuss, hate, love them they have the desired effect and the money flows. Just/ignore / block as Spam is here to stay.
If a site is too intrusive there are most likely 10-100 alternatives to visit. Rather spend my time on that.

Maby redundant but looking at what i personally like and dislike,
I like well thought through games like Oblivion, X3, borderlands etc. where you can see the builders enjoyed making it and took the time.
I very much dislike fast ports from console to pc, most EA games that are halfbaked, not ready, very short, litle replay and lack imagination.
(On both sides there are exceptions of course)
When you put creative builders under pressure it kills imagination imo. The games are seen as fastfood now, calculated to what we accept minimally to spend money on "even 12 hours gameplay!(more like 8)" like Singularity whereas an Oblivion has 100+ hours in the box and many more with replay, mods etc. Singularity was more expensive too.

If these same companies would significantly lower their prices instead of keeping at record heights we wouldn't have the urge to DL everything and actually buy some stuff. They can also start with stopping to pay BREIN, that will probably save them a lot of money too.....
I find it interresting that the CD-rom seems to be the only media that has stayed close to the same price as when it was launched, in comparison to other products. The normal way is to lower the prices once the 'novelty value' goes down. Since the production costs are around 1 dollar one would expect lower pricings then 20+ dollar in some cases.
I couldnt agree more. Working in IT is always having to prove yourself afterwards if a client starts complaining you agreed on something.
Also there are legal requirements, think of SOXA for example, you need proof of certain statements.

Working in a Change Management position at the moment and i need to track, at every given time, around 70 to 80 changes that we are handling and 100+ that are run by other groups. Verbal communication is impossible at that scale. Also gathering evidence of approvals etc need to be administrated.
Email is my working ground, it is my "business critical" application.
In private life i tend to check EMail every other day or so, i rather talk to friends.

fyi, i read the bible, quran, mormon books. What i don't do is allow myself to be manipulated in having to believe a single book that was written by people that were creating a story to control a large portion of the general public. For example, as you might be aware, the dates of events were discussed and placed over existing events to erase the "heathen" (spelling??) culture (birthdate of jezus, christmas, eastern etcetc.) That fact alone should be convincing enough to start scratching behind your ears and wonder what the heck is going on.....
I like the concept a lot, i would prefer that they would limit the information to scientific data, math, chemistry, biology, physics, incl the language samples etc. So IF by some major event the world would loose that info it would be retrieved by finding this object.

i always had a love hate relationship with this series,
love, the setting, hate the very outdated graphics love all the stuff you can drive, cycle fly, hate the OMG so very awfull controls. love all the missions to play, hate the fact that the only challange is to fight the uber bad controls (for pc) so that the last version for the game is still unfinnished on my pc somewhere simply because i cannot see where iam going, go where i want to and omg the flight models etc etc
all in all, nice ideas and stuff to do but work on the technic / controls etc.etc.
i realy hope the new game, when it will be a pc version, is not outdated in graphics and finally have normal controls, otherwise it will end up on a shelf and i will again hate it and love it and hate it.
regarding the sandbox remark, i dont agree, there is lots to do but all in all it is 1 big repetition of ppl/remarks etc. Being a large map with loads of semi similar buildings and streets that you cannot enter does not make it "deep".
Looking at Oblivion for example and previous versions are rather complex underneeth with individual ai / person, all is accessable etc. and users can create own contenct / mods. but hey, iam a fan of the fantasy genre:)
Evolution is of course a continuing process. Whenever nature "messes up" the genepool there is a small chance that something better comes out of it. This way the new organism has a better chance of survival. Nature adapts.

It is a marvelous piece of engineering. But it started out (apparently with 6 different organisms, so there are 6 families of eyes in the world) as a photo sensitive cell for a small organism that detected light and or dark. This particular organism survived and later families with better "eyes" did too. This grew out to be an eye as we know today.
The only group that is convinced that there is no evolution are certain religious groups, which I will not name here ^^. The common opinion about evolution is that it is simply proposturous for an animal to change...
I realy hope that evolution does not only count for biological organisms but for human organisations as well. It is time that some groups evolve into the next era...
