what's the point in adding them to the list if there is no benchmark of them? Hilarious that they want to install winxp on them.. 'course it doesnt work, DUH! i would love to see a win98-winxp comparison on a P100..
Anyway I am in constant search of these lower speed processors 'cause they are perfect for mp3-players and control jobs! in combination with win98lite it's perfect!

i spend practically 7hr a day behing this little lovely pc, doing image analysis and writing. now it is true that i have considerable problems in going to work, but on the other hand the fact that i can read /. every half hour makes me more comfortable with my lot. as for shoulders and neck and wrists, you just have to be careful w/ your working position and stand up every half hour or so and walk/photocopy a little.. as for the eyes.. they told me too much coffee seemed to influence sight/light problems. now i have QUIT drinking coffee for a month but my eyes are still sore. maybe when i get home i should not glue myself to my home boxen.. hmm. well. just wanted to say that i think that screen work is not necessarily evil if you can relax now and then and make it interesting. (thus mod +1 interesting)

now, if europe decides MS is wrong, should then the US reconsider their judgements because of transatlantic consistency?????

  17. alien cell recognition == rejection on Pigs with Human Genes · · Score: 5, Insightful

All cells in the body carry on their outer membranes molecules that identify them as being part of the body. now finding all these genes, cloning them all into pig cells AND removing all native pig recognition molecules would be the way to go, WERE IT NOT that the pig itself would not be viable 'cause its own cells are not recognized anymore. any slight amount of alien molecules left causes a massive attack of the host immunologic system (white blood cells etc). it is possible to overcome this _PARTIALLY_ by weakening the immunosystem with chemicals.

I reseached the possibilities of pig organ usage for transplantation.. believe me, it might be possible some day, but that day is WAY ahead of us.

the alternative of growing new organs from stem cells (ie programming from the ground up) is up to now a much more promising than modifying pigs (ie patch core components of a massive _unknown_ project while porting it to another OS)
