It is censorship when agents of the state (whether or not prompted by a private entity, such as a copyright holder) use force or threats of force to stop someone publishing or distributing any information.
By your definition then the following example would be censorship:
You write a love letter to you beloved. At some point another party gains access to this letter that you have written and for some reason (such as they too are smitten by you beloved, but the why is not really important, for you left it out of your definition) begins to distribute copies of you letter to people on the street. You then ask to police to stop this person continuing to do so.
Note that it is censorship whether you approve of it or not.
No, it is not censorship. Censorship requires three parties. The creator, the audience and the censor. You can't even argue that it self-censorship as that is only the special case of where the creator acts on behalf of the censor.
If you think the law should be about protecting the wealth of corporations, this is a sensible attitude. On the other hand, if the law should be about protecting the rights of people, it isn't.
Copyright law is there to protect the rights of the creator. This is done to benefit the people, as a creator that is not guaranteed some reward from the fruits of their labor will no longer exert the effort to create. Thus all would lose.
Granted that copyright law has been extended beyond this original intent it is still there. Furthermore it is on this original intent that this particular case has happened.
Being from Australia I'm not fully acquainted with US law, so I'm talking out my ass here a bit.
I seem to remember listing to the radio a few years back about defamation law. In some states it is not necessary to prove that a statement was false to successfully sue for defamation. All that is necessary is to prove that the statement diminished the reputation of the plaintive, i.e. they were defamed.
I know it seems a bit weird, but then again California has a law on the books making it illegal to hunt whales form your car!
Your correct that there are different "types" of "Chinese", Mandarin & Cantonese being the two most popular, however there are many others such as Shanghaiese & Taiwanese.
Normally they are referred to as dialects, however this is stretching the word a bit. A friend of mine who is a native French speaker has had a better time understanding Italian than someone else I know who is from Shanghai understanding her mother-in-law who is from near Hong Kong (although in the second case I not entirely sure that there is not another reason).
The interesting thing is that all these dialects share a common written language, based on Mandarin.
I'm guessing you're from the US, where you had the stabbing or something (I don't really know). In Australia we are into our 3rd series now. They have the regular, edited show where they show the highlights of the day. Then they have BIG BROTHER LIVE between 11pm and 1am on weeknights. I discovered this while flipping between channels at about 12:45am. As you can imagine this is the most boring TV ever conceived. It's just a static shot of a bunch of people sleeping. Because it is dark so the image quality is not that good either. "Paint drying" & "grass growing" are about the only contenders int the in riveting TV stakes.

Total time stolen from me by the Evil Empire: 2 seconds. I'm sure raging now.
It's certainly a lot less time than is required to, say, recompile my kernel to support the new
Is that really a fair comparison?
I assume to be fair you would have to include the time to reinstall XP in the first place.

I don't think that the Sikhs rebellion was going to amount to much but I see your point.

Nobody understands Chinese anyhow
Yeah, and all those chinese in China (the worlds most populous country) are speaking Swahili.
How your ignorant thoughts got moderated up I'll never know.
