if you acually read the page the definition is for know (no s). Dictionary.com finds the correct word, not always what you typed in (i use it to check my spelling from time to time, hehe).
here is the definition that can be found for "knows". read the page carefully.
any native english speaker would be able to pick this mistake up with out having to check it by the way...
True Names.. ah, there is a truely great novella. I don't think that the link is accurate though, that edition has not (or should not have been) printed yet. I have a standing order with Tor for it, i have had the order for the last two years, the publication date has always been a few months in the future. I am fairly sure that it has not been recently published because i have just bought a compleat collection of Vinge's short stories, the only omisions being true names (because of the pending publication), and Grim's world (it being the core of Tajta Grim's World). The distributer, i think it was Baker and taylor, but i could be wrong, said that the publication date for True Names (i check every time i order something) has been pushed back yet again. This all makes me wonder why Barnesand Noble say it is instock and ready to ship.... i dunno...
online text of True Names (not sure how long this wil be up... so get it while its fresh)
ok, thats enough for now... check google for more.
I recomend reading some of his stuff if you havn't already, some reminds you of all of the science foction you have read before, and some is just astounding. True Names is/was truely prophetic (check out when it was written, then compare to neuromancer).
"The sophistication of business web sites just got dialed up a few hundred notches..BIZ, the newest domain on the web, utilizes robust technologies that not only make your address for business more secure, but more flexible to your ever-changing needs.

Security--.BIZ has it.
Ever notice that your security guards use German Shepherds instead of Chihuahuas?
The Right Address--.BIZ has it.
Why isn't your business headquartered in Timbuktu?
Technology--.BIZ has it
Ever notice how your accounting department gave up using the abacus years ago?
.BIZ--a new name space--a new opportunity. "
thats straight from neulevel's site. is it just me (or maybe just me at 3am) or is this all nonsence?
i wonder if neulevel even takes themselves seriously.
read the "why.biz" section of the site. how can they promise this: "- Secure your peace of mind; your.BIZ name won't be hijacked and changes can't be made to your website without your approval." i'm sure this is what execs want to hear, but i think that even they can see that the TLD has nothing to do with how secure their web servers are.
".BIZ is the first and only global top-level domain (gTLD) 'built for business.'" havn't they ever heard of.com
this whole thing just makes me sick. sort of like the first time i saw those "sponsored links" filling up the first screenfull of my altavista searches.
.biz -- they can keep it. i'm just waiting for the next big revolution, maybe i'll be one of the ones who remembered when it all began (coarse hashing out VM things 50 years from now'll probubly be fun:) AC was right dammit!)
time to go back to the cave, and try to get some sleep before chem tomarrow.
there are a few playstation games like this, and i believe there is a tomagatchi (or whatever the hell those things are) like device on the market now that can do something like what you are suggesting. it uses ir or something like that.
but isn't that comment very relavent. the article is talking about a super-computer clas computers, and a baewolf cluster is concidered just that. claiming its superiority over other things may be a bit zealous though, its not the best, it is afordable for you and me though... i hope to someday say that i run a supercomputer in my basement, "sure, i'll let you see it... can yours do this".

remember that Be shipped with a large number or GNU command line tools (bash, gawk, ect...), i would assume that BlueOS would do the same.
