I think it's pretty obvious that they're struggling to think of new material for the characters, as evidenced by the increasing frequency of the "Reminds me of..." sequences to allow them to fit in anything they happen to think of.
I used to like both Family Guy & Futurama as examples of shows that had been killed off at the right time, rather than being run into the dirt like Red Dwarf. I guess that dvd boxed sets have just given an extra incentive to milk a series for all you can get.
This is really the opposite of what the poster wants, one source on many screens rather than one screen with many sources but GStreamer would probably be a good place to start if you wanted to write something to do this.
Right, Storagereview.com, a website dedicated to reviewing hard drives since 1998, doesn't know what they are talking about when reviewing hard drives.
I've never been able to take SR that seriously since they lost their drive reliability results back in 2002 due to a HD failure:)
SA was apparently hosted there so has gone down ("either underwater or strapped to the roof of a stolen vehicle that is also underwater.").
They've got a page up at the moment with their feelings about the whole business which is worth a read (scroll down a bit till you get to "Bless This Mess")
"This Article obliges Member States to consider all intentional infringements of an intellectual property right on a commercial scale as a criminal offence." (emphasis mine)
from skim reading the linked pdf it looks as if it's aimed people violating copyright in order to make money, and isn't infact going to make criminals out of teenagers using kazaa.
Well, I can only comment on how I've found them but I haven't had a problem with any of my orders and recently they've been helpful and quick to respond to an RMA request. It's possible that their feedback is a little skewed by the age of their consumers - I imagine they sell to a lot of angry inexperienced teens:)
That said you can't be sure how any company will react when you happen to have a problem which is why you should always speak softly and carry the number of your credit card provider - withholding payment usually helps to get whatever problems you may be having sorted.
Be aware that, while Ebuyer is a great place to shop in terms of the huge range (and the bargains to be had in their "own brand" range) their website will often be out of date or inaccurate when it comes to product versions and descriptions. Your best bet is to put the manufacturers code listed on the site into google and check it tallies with what you're expecting, also check out the reviews. This is especially important when you're trying to buy things with a chipset that linux supports.
Other good UK sites include...
http://www.komplett.co.uk/ although I was sad when they stopped sending out the truely bizare e-mail newsletters, possibly the first online vendor to try to sell an 8 mega pixel camera by saying you could photograph nude beaches from a distance. Some of their stuff has shipped from mainland europe in the past when I've ordered (which takes time) and, as they use DHL it has the value written on the package which can be bad when you're wanting to hide just how much you've spent.
http://www.cclonline.com/ CCL who I can't say much special about but who've just delivered on time in the past
and...
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/ Overclockers who, despite being a... specialised store are one of the best in my experience for actually having stock and shipping it on time. However they can't compete with price with almost any of the "proper" stores.
It happened pretty much the same as this with NT4 - SP7 was promised but then decided not to release it (on Earth anyway) and instead issue a security rollup which was according to them what customers wanted.
While googling for the above link I came across a quote from a consultant
"The thing is, they've been promising us an SP7 for NT since before Windows 2000 shipped, so how am I supposed to believe them when they promise us additional service pack releases for Win2K after Windows XP ships?"
Let me guess... you're at UMIST and have just been give the "Why Systems Fail" coursework...
If my hunch is right (based on Ariane 5 and Therac-25 being the example situations given in the material) using slashdot is a nice easy way to get your research done... wish I'd thought of it:)
If this were the case wouldn't we have had more convincing proof when the Windows 2000 source code was leaked?

...I don't think they exist.
There was a story a while back about Video Whale

...back and find a computer to read it on. I mean that's what they'll do when they need an IBM 5100 isn't it? :)

How perceptive of him
