    So just ignore that suggestion then. Can't expect the app to mind-read whether you "know what you're doing" or not.

    The whole idea of it pointing out these errors is so you can pick which ones you'd like to employ.

    Is that really a problem? Not everyone has a university degree. And this is available online so you can look at it whenever you want.

    Gotta start somewhere.

    What about the kids just headed to university who want a quick start? What about people just interested in these like project managers who aren't that technical?

    B/c this isn't about individuals. It's about corporations who delayed rollouts so they could test it before rolling it out.

    But they weren't convicted. The judgement (thanks to a link from someone above) says that nobody admitted to anything. They just agreed to some terms and that was that.

    Also, it's Wired. I think they know that MP3 is not a "microsoft format".

    Yeah, but that doesn't really address his point that you need to set up a webserver to do this.

    He's looking for a "native" samba solution to do this without needing to use a web server for this.

    I know, you're trying to be funny with a cliched joke. Seems that a lot of people are buying this logic though. However, it's the opposite of the logic that is cried out when something like suprnova.org getting closed down happens.

    We can't shoot the supplier (suprnova) for offering illegal goods that people then *choose* to download.

    However, we can shoot the supplier (MS) of a security flaw that allows someone to install software. This software then exploits a fundamental issue in somebody elses (Googles) software. Then we're allowed to be blame the supplier?

    I know it's not a perfect analogy, as none are. However it does seem that the standard only works in whatever way fits peoples viewpoints best. Since we all know that everything MS does is evil, and everything Google does is good, we can then work at cognitive dissonating a reason that a Google flaw is MicroSofts fault. Bravo!

    Yes, he allowed scripts to continue to run but that's what your average user will do. They don't know what that error meant but to them, if they click no, then the site may not work properly after that.

    He was modelling real world usage and that was the right action to take in this case.

    I have seen a zip download that contained...wait for it...a 3 line batch file for MSDOS. Now if that's not a legit use of zip, I don't know what is!
