You make a good point, or would, if I had any idea what you were talking about. What is so frustrating about your comment is that it is so close to English, that my mind instinctively tries to make sense of it. But, it isn't English, it's just English words thrown together randomly with no intended meaning. I applaud your creativity (not many can mangle English so well) despite your lack of clarity.
Looking at the spec sheet for the HTC Touch P3450 I see:
Operating System: Windows Mobile 6 Professional
I saw that and it's enough of a deal breaker for me to ignore any and all features of this phone. It could raise baby Jesus from the dead and I wouldn't buy it, because I already know it'll only summon him on a full charge and only if no 3rd party apps are installed. WM is pure shite.
Like when Carlos Mencia did the same bit as http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AYxu_MQSTTY in his recent episode http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wzg9jjjcxg ? Although not a direct copy I couldn't help but think of the original when watching the Mencia version. And yes there are significant differences, like the first is a parody of David Blane and Carlos' version is of Chris Angel. I think they're too similar to be a coincidence and I think the David Blane parody is funnier (the sequel they made being funnier than both combined).
Maybe it doesn't have to (claw back market share from bluray), maybe this is Toshiba's way of dumping inventory before they cut and run from the whole HD Disc war fiasco. One can only hope, right?
Too bad for those red blooded mid-westerners that Global Warming will most likely wipe out the Corn Belt of America......LOL.
NO! America cannot be defeated by irony! The only threats to our freedom are terrorists and communists and I'm pretty sure you're an 'ist of some sort.
Personally, I can't stand all the corn syrup the Americans seem to have in everything they eat. Maybe this is my body's way of saying "get the hell out of this silly country before you become one of them!"?
If you don't like it, you can leave. We don't need no whinny Euro-cans telling us not to devour copious amounts of corn syrup and sugars. And stop calling me an American. America is huge, I just live in the best part of it, the USA. That makes me a Citizen of the United States of America, but you can shorten that down to a CUSA. From now on when you want to badmouth the best nation on Earth, you can address us as Cusans. It's about time we had our own identity.
I don't remember seeing many representations of that in the art from that period. And speaking of that art...You might want to look at what was actually painted back then. In particular, Peter Paul Rubens who was painting at that time.
If I take your meaning to be that there was no art depicting blond, barbie-doll-like in Peter Paul Rubens' work, then I'd say you are very wrong.
The very first painting I ever saw of Peter Paul Rubens was Venus and Adonis, c. 1610. In it Venus is very blond and also very hot, as she is always depected by him. In fact the majority of his work is of hot blonds, and almost always nearly nude. The term "Rubenesque" means voluptuous women who appear very fertile in evolutionary terms. I guess I just fail to see your point.
(see the prejudice of redheads being in league with the devil etc.)
Now i have to wonder if I like redheads because they're in league with the devil, or if I like women who are in league with the devil because they are redheads.
...Wealthy parents more likely to have boys? How does that explain Paris and Nikki Hilton? I doesn't, but that isn't the point.
The article explains this clearly, in section 6, "Beautiful people have more daughters". Specifically the generalized Trivers-Willard hypothesis: if the parents have traits that are more beneficial to daughters, they'll have daughters. I this case, Paris and Nikki's mother, Kathy Hilton is the blond bombshell type referred to in the fist section as having ideal traits for passing down to daughters; "young with small waist, large breasts, long blond hair, and blue eyes." also...
Regarding the female suicide bombers...
There is nothing regarding female suicide bombers in this discussion as there aren't enough of them to mean anything here.
You should be mailing your old cartridges back to the manufacturer. It's free, easy and they recycle them. Printer cartridges disposal isn't regulated in the US because the manufactures here have been responsible so far by providing this service.
You could also just reuse them, using off the shelf refill kits, but it's not going to be the same ink your printer prefers, so it's not going to have the same drying speed, and possible not the exact color, but in most cases, this is more than adequate.
Btw, I see nothing in TFA that suggest this will prevent refilling.
It doesn't really go down like that does it? Doesn't the record lable or distributer handle promotions? And even if they did forward the cost of the promo cd on to the artist, why would they be charged retail prices or their own CD? It sounds like somebody didn't read the fine print in their record contract and got screwed.
I'm assuming you're talking about 720p mpeg-2 streams. How's it handle 720p x.264?
It doesn't play any x.264 (really H.264, x.264 is used to make H.264 videos) media very well, not even low bitrate/low resolution. Keep in mind that XBMC does have the software support, but the processor just can't handle the decompression so it plays back way too choppily to be watchable. If, like GP post suggested that the proc and ram were easily upgraded, it may be able to handle the job.
What Samsung Windows Mobile device do you have? What do you want to know how to do on it? I'll explain it to you.
The fact that you would have to explain how to use anything on a smart phone means that the phone isn't smart. By offering to explain, you prove the point of the parent post.
My experience with smart phones is limited to use of the Moto Q (2 so far, had to RMA it) running Microsoft Windows Mobile and I just have to say that WM boots way too slow for a mobile platform, crashes too much and while easy for Windows users to figure out, is not nearly as intuitive as I'd like. I will never purchase any device that relies on Windows Mobile again.
Second, if the image is so small, which user is going to see it, and if the user cannot see it, then claims of amnesty are theoretically possible.
WTF is wrong with you? This is one small hologram on a disk full of them. If you manage to get ahold of a copy of Vista that has all other security features except for the 1mm image of these 3 jackasses, then you have stumbled upon the greatest counterfeiters in all of Asia. You should be glad you paid $400 because you got yourself a collectors item.
With 3 free 5.25' bays, you can use an Enlight EN 8721 to get 5 hot-swappable SCSI or SATA bays. Not terribly off topic, cause when discussing RAID or multidisk setups, I can't help but think of my frind's home setup running 5 250g HDDs in RAID 5. His setup hasn't really been challenged right yet though, 1 year since setup and none of the drives have failed yet... next time I'm there, I should just pull one while no one's looking and see what happens.
I would suggest MPEG-4 Part 10, AVC also known as H.264. The reason being that your gonna want good compression options for your media and you're gonna want to be able to play it back somewhere. There are currently multiple devices that already support MPEG-4 Part 2 SP/ASP, but if your building your library now, you might be concerned that AVC will be getting a significant push while ASP support will be diminishing what with HDDVD and BR useing AVC.
As far as your wrapper for content, I prefer Matroska,.mkv because of the support for menus and chapters, but I don't know of any playback support on anything but a PC. The DLINK DSM-750 will have playback support for H.264, but what containers will it support? Xbox Media Center on a modded xbox (old one) will playback ASP like a dream, but will choke on AVC. The xbox360 will have support for both (or has, I haven't checked out the Live update yet) but I still think future dvd/hddvd/br players will have better support for AVC as well as network media players, which hopefully we'll see more of soon.
Let us see, there's LOST, which you can get over-the-air in HD or SD or from analog cable. And Heroes which is the same... Hmm, shows worth recording... Oh yeah, Sopranos. That's premium content, but that shows is almost finished so I guess it doesn't count. OK, there's nothing on TV worth much hastle. You could just use a VCR for the few shows worth watching and be perfectly happy. But I want an HTPC anyway, even if it's just for the joy I get picking out computer hardware. Oh, and for the shows that you missed in the last five years, they're on DVD now. Oh and if you don't want to bother going to the store to get them, they're also on newsgroups. So, still no reason to be bummed, I'll let you know if I can think of any reason this should bother you.
For the love of God, please take a reading comprehension class before you ever post on Slashdot again.

Yes, Mars is far away.
Because Mars is really far away.
