    Apple is closing stores? Where did you get that from? Apple sold more stuff than last in in their stores, just less per store. Which, in case you hadn't noticed, comes from the fact that they opened stores.

    especially by not shipping with a full-screen media player, just the crippled version of quicktime.

    Errm, what? How long didn't you update Quicktime? Heck, version 7.2 comes with 10.5 - didn't you claim you used that?

    Market analysts look at Cisco and similar companies and watch them using some of their large cash reserves for acquisitions. They look at Apple and wonder who Apple will buy.

    Maybe they should look at how those companies do after the acquisitions instead. IOW more analyzing instead of watching and wondering.

    The only reason why the insurgents had any "success" was that the Germans wanted to get all the valuables out of the Ghetto intact. If they had just fire bombed the whole Ghetto on day one, that would have been it.

    Just see how much success a few armed men (and a large number of unarmed people around them) have against an army without such considerations - US and Israeli forces have to problem with massive attacks on buildings they suspect they have been shot at from. Saddam killed most people from a village when some shot at him there.

    You are mixing the "Warsaw Ghetto Uprising" with the "Warsaw Uprising" here. The former were about 1000 Jews with little Polish support in 1943, the latter the more than 20000 Polish Home Army with some Jewish members in 1944 - at that time Warsaw was long "cleansed" of Jews.

    The newspaper that Apple didn't like, The Sun , is the best selling newspaper in Britain, available from every corner shop and supermarket.

    And soon accessing the website will cost money, so the app is moot anyway.

    The second barrier is the TPM (Trusted Platform Module). It's basically a decryption chip that decrypts some of the binaries that are required to run OS X. The hackintosh community has managed to pull off this decryption with software.

    So current Macs can't run Mac OS X. That's interesting alright. Hint: they don't contain a TPM chi. Oh,and Mac OS X never used it on the older Macs.

    So close! Back then the Mac ran on "System" whatever. System 3, System 6, System 7, you get the idea. The clone license covered System 7, so they changed the name to Mac OS and revved the number to 8, just to be sure.

    Not quite: The last OS for the clones was MacOS 7.6(.1).

    Well other than the fact the features in OS 9 really didn't warrant a new version number.

    But the changes between Vista ad Windows 7 do? Anyway, if Apple had skipped 8.6, the changes from 8.5 would have been enough for the new version number.
