What bank do you work for?
I think someone needs to complain about them being environmentally unfriendly and big fine placed on them for not recycling.
We have a local company that recycles old computers and gives them to schools and the needy. They clean off the old data on the hard drive and reload the OS.
I have given up on Duke Nukem 3D Forever.
If they bost to have to best 3D engine when released, then they have to rewrite the engine to keep up with current tech..
And by the time that engine is ready it will be out of date, then they will never get to the point they feel it is ready.....
Not a flame....
But that your MS word example:
In the normal office enivorment, who uses all the extra features that word may have over Kwrite.
Do you really need the word processor to make web pages?
I think that 99% of the people who moved to koffice on linux would never know the diffrence.....
The GUI has made using the computer easy with the basic office features easly to use without any training.....be it MS or K office.
They have a free 4 channel A/D converter that run's off your serial port, comes with a nice piece of software that charts and records the data from the unit. Plus other goodies.
Who has not as a kid played with lenses, I got my first fresnel lenses from a surplus supply house.
Other then burning leaves and ant's, I found that I could project my B&W TV against the wall.
I have seen other TV to big screen converts, using an old copier lenese....
Having to have a total dark room to use the 100" screen device is not a big deal.
I also have played with the real deal, even the high end units look best in a dark room.
I started my first BBS on a Tandy Color Computer with a 300 baud modem. I wrote my own BBS software in BASIC.
Later updated the BBS to a Tandy Color computer 3 with 256 RAM and a 20 Meg Hard drive.
The system ran under OS9 (a UNIX like operating system).
Which let me run my own programs in a Mac like GUI and my BBS ran as a back gound task.
I thought it was cool that my 2Mhz Color Computer smoked the IBM clones running windows at 16Mhz and 4 times the RAM......
Just another example of how our lives are being run by lawyers.
But we are to blame the most for we elect to office these lawyers.
Maybe someone out there could write a Napster like program except for searching for lyrics or a server like the CDDB. I know there has been talk of adding lyrics to the CDDB (Compact Disk database).
I am a big startrek fan and don't get me wrong, but after the last season of Voyager.
It really started to blow big chunks on the plots.
I am fear that with the same guy behind the wheel of Enterprise, it may well be the death of Startrek for TV.
Think mide season they will bring back Worf to save the show?
Things that I see that I don't like.
The ship look's too much like the Voyager.
The set's look more advanced then the old Startrek series.
I think that the captain should be a bit more rough around the edges, and not so PC.
Maybe Tim Allen would be better?
I have to agree, Disney did not promote Mononoke well in the theater.
I had to drive 20 miles to a large city to see it, in a small theater that its big thing was non-main stream films.
I bet they spent more money on some of their past duds.
I think if they had did a main stream release of Kiki's delivery service it would have done well.
All of the people I have shown my copy of the Disney release and are not anime fans like it..
I have been looking for the forward to the release of Laputa: Castle in the sky, my thought is they held it up since in some way's similar to Atlantis.
But then again look at Atlantis, it is not the happy singing disney we have seen in the past.
I was unhappy back when the Disney deal went through and look's like I will have to wait longer to see the rest of Miyazaki's work done in English.
My first taste of Tenchi was the OVA series, I picked up the series on VHS.
One episode per tape on at about $24.00 dollars a pop per tape, for the first 7 tapes!
Ouch, but I was addicted to it, sort of like watching soap's. Buying a new tape to see what would happen next in this anime soap opera.
I jumped for joy when the second release of the OVA tapes came with two episodes per tape.
To me Tenchi is like the Charlie Brown of Japanese anime, just like Charlie Brown has Lucy to pull the foot ball way at the last minute. Tenchi has Ryoko to make his life miserable....
I have seen all the Tenchi movies, but have not watched much of the TV series.
My only peeve will be if in the third OVA they do not put all the pieces together.
For the critics, so it may be a bit juvenile in its humor. Least we forget that we where all teens at one time.
If you want to see the real Tenchi, don't get the Toonanime edited versions of the series. Try to find the Pioneer released tapes.
The car's are neat, but those fighting Dream Force robots look cool....
What is it the Japanes people get all the cool Robot stuff?

Dream Force 01
Maybe I am missing something....
Was not "C" designed to be platform indepent!!!!!
Talk about inventing the wheel!!!!!

I have not seen anything on who was the biggest seller for the 2001 year.

One is to use the parallel port as your input and a eight bit A/D converter.
With a few other parts make a far scope....
If you just want to look at simple wave forms works great.
Else you can buy a card that installs in your computer and turns it into a real scope.
don't have a URL handy...
