  1. iRiver Rockbox user on Rockbox Developers Talk Open Source Firmware · · Score: 1

I've had my iRiver for about 7 years now and it's still pretty happy. Sure, it's big and clunky and one day the HDD will fail, but when it does, I reckon I'll just put in a new one and carry on.

I much prefer having my phone separate to my MP3 player, simply because the battery life is better and also that when I'm listening to a song I don't have it disturbed by an incoming call from a recruitment agent.

  7. Just lock your bag on TSA Makes $400K Annually In Loose Change · · Score: 0

I'm constantly told to not lock my bag because otherwise it'll be ripped open by the security staff to search it. I don't lock it to stop the security staff getting in, I lock it to stop the lighter fingered baggage handlers from having a quick rummage.

Besides, if someone wants to get into your luggage, they'll get into luggage.

  8. Make no sense on Facebook Adds Ads To News Feed · · Score: 4, Insightful

What's the point of running an advert in your News Feed for, say, Ben and Jerry's if you already Like it? You're the only one who'll see it and since you already like it, they're not encouraging anyone else to try their product.

What FB wants to do is show adverts for things you like in your friends News Feeds.
