Doesn't the lack of HDMI output on the 360 make this a bit of a pointless exercise?

No wait, hear me out. Most porn is going to be largely white or black skin colour (particularly with Friesian Cows if you're into that sort of thing), so the P2P can just find a chunk with a similar amount of that colour and download that!

  19. Debian's problem on Ian Murdock: Debian "Missing a Big Opportunity" · · Score: 0

Personally I found that Debian's problem is that by the time they've gotten a new release out the door, it is already hideously out of date. I switched from Debian to Fedora and was quite happy with it for a while but I ended up moving to Ubuntu.

Maybe I'm just promiscuous, who knows...

  21. Computer Science "is too hard" on Is Computer Science Dead? · · Score: 5, Interesting

That's why people don't do it. When I was at University in the UK (Portsmouth if anyone cares), I did Maths and Computing.

The first year consisted of learning how to format a floppy disk and write a Word document. Oh, and there was some Java thrown in there, but people found Java too hard and complained. Java then got removed from the curriculum and we did crap like theories in Artificial Intelligence instead.

We had the option of doing C++ in our final year but this largely consisted of printing out to the console and writing some text to a file. No fancy shit like Pointers or anything like that. Most people didn't elect to do this option as programming is hard work and they just stuck to Matlab instead.
