A gun's primary purpose is to inflict severe wounds. Most people will not reap the benefits of inflicting severe wounds.
No, a gun's primary purpose is to propell a spinning chunk of metal through a tube at high velocity. I can think of several things that I can fire a gun at that will not inflict severe flesh wounds. (ie: my computer when it crashes.) It's just that most peoplechoose to point guns at other people.
"From the charts above, it becomes mind-numbingly clear that the Gnutella distributed architecture is fundamentally flawed and can have a horrific impact on any network. " Hmm... I figured that out after watching gnutella for a few min. with a bandwidth monitor.
Isn't the data stored on a DVD a massive collection of bits?
Well the text that makes up this webpage is a massive collection of bits, but it's not software, it's data. I think a good definition of sofware would be data that does stuff to to other data.
...last time i checked, it has never been illegal to intercept a signal that is being delivered to your property.
Then you've been out of the loop for 15 years! Thanks to the Electronic Communications Privacy Act of 1986, it is very much illegal for you to receive a signal 'not intended for your receipt'.
Well, If it isn't intended for me, it shouldn't be delivered to my property, should it?
Except that deutrium, an isotope of hydrogen has one neutron.
"If you put an infinite number of monkeys at typewriters, eventually one will bash out the source code for Windows."
10 monkeys, 5 minutes.

"This is essentially measuring the weight of gravity, and this is the only type of project that can currently do that[...]"
Huh? since when did forces have weight

The next big puzzle is to create anti*matter*.
Antiprotons/positrons are antimatter. Remember matter is anything that has mass and takes up space (volume). Antiprotons/positrons do both of that.
Wouldn't it just be easier to find a scottish engineer?
I doubt this. To make antimatter you need energy, and where do you get it in space?
The same place we get it (mostly indirectly) on Earth. The Sun.
No, I was a student back then. How is this relevant anyway? (Remember when IE TOTALLY SUCKED?)
Yeah, but most people remember last week pretty well.
"Phased Energy Rectification"
Aren't we forgeting something here?
LCD's realy suck when you are not standing right
in front of them. this means whatever you hang on the wall will look realy bad from all other angles
No. How many times have you looked at a picture frame/picture when you're not standing right in front of it?

er...$18.00 not 18:00
First, what's the point of a watch whose battery life is measured in hours, as opposed to months?
Months? My 18:00 Timex has been running constantly for the past 5 years
Whatever, 2415867
It's called a 1/8" male-male audio cable.
Yeah, but what's the point of finding, "First Post!", in pi if it's not first?
