    I will miss tuning the engine, changing the oil, inspecting the spark plugs, changing the air filter, trying to get it to pass a smog check, actually, no I wouldn't.

  3. Yes but then if demand for gas is reduced then refining will be reduced then pumping the oil will be reduced and that will drive the price up.

    "Is a camera a luxury good?" At this point in time I would say it is because to buy a camera these days means you have a serious interest in photography, everyone else uses their phone to take pictures. If you are planning to use said camera for a business you can always write it off as a business expense.

    How about this for a definition of necessity? If you have to pay for it anyway, meaning you don't have a choice, then it is a necessity. If I really need to go to the bathroom and there is a 25 cent charge to use the facilities then I don't have a choice but to pay the fee. This is not rocket science people.

    Wouldn't this require some kind of national registry? I am trying to picture this in my mind. Trump: I have implemented a national gun registry to keep the bad guys from getting guns but only the bad guys. If you like your guns you can keep your guns!

    I thought Rome fell because they based their economy on plundering other lands. Eventually they ran out of lands to plunder and the money ran out. Even when they went from a Republic to being ruled by an emperor they still lasted quite a long time.

    They are planning on getting rid of team driving first. Instead of paying 2 people, one resting while the other drives, just pay one person and the AI will do most of the driving. It is just like when garbage collecting used to be a 2 person job, one drives while the other picks up the cans, now it is just the one driver who operates a mechanical claw to pick up the cans.

    I find it fascinating that people would complain about something like this but not spending a billion dollars on a sports stadium with mostly tax payer money. Now that is a waste. If Jeff Bezos wants to build the world's largest toilet in order to flush money down it then I don't care as long as it's his money.

    I have read about Bill Gates' philanthropy particularly towards Africa which is fine but I would like to see him invest in something that the whole world will be able to appreciate, namely funding the cancelled Overwhelmingly Large Telescope. Imagine viewing exoplanets with that monster scope!
