  7. The financials announcement seems to have calmed the situation slightly, but only slightly. They hit 2020 in final week but many suspect that is purely by lots of overtime and short term reallocation of people to make the numbers look better. Either way I think they have precisely 3 months to prove they can exceed new quarters target and get their financials in order, if they miss again the current drop will seem like a paper cut compared to the oncoming bloodbath.

  8. how can you possibly say their financials are better, if anything the market has thus far underreacted to the news? they have taken on massive debt and missed numbers. that is really bad news, when it is just investors then missing is bad but not financially disastrous, when you have to service debt missing your numbers is really bad and leads to increased funding costs.

  9. If you understand the risks and believe it has bottomed out then sure. Looks to me like it has a long way to fall yet, the drop is a direct reaction to the very poor news out of them and the increased risk of money becoming more expensive for them.

I think you are misunderstanding what GDPR is. It does not protect you from lawfully obtained warrants for your data, This law requires the US to work through the government whose country the data exists in and hence GDPR does not come into play as GDPR does not do anything to prevent local law enforcement from obtaining a court issued warrant for it.

This looks more like spouses divorcing and threatening each other's items out of sheer spite. Hence "petty" and "petulant".

In return Britain should try to banish the use of English language on the .EU domains — when they leave, there will no countries left in the EU, where English is a national language :)

firstly English originated funnily enough in the rest of Europe, it was brought to Britain as anglo Frisian dialects.
second I don't know what is so hard for you to understand, The EU isn't being petty, it isn't changing rules or trying to spite anyone. The rules exist, The UK is leaving the club and hence loses ALL CLUB privileges. They don't get to selectively choose what to keep and the EU certainly shouldn't be going out of its way to provide privileges to a leaving member, they can negotiate and trade new agreements but the benefits of being in the EU are lost to them.

  16. yes, including them. would have taken you an extra 10 seconds to google and find the many voluntary recalls.

  17. EU citizens not in the UK will be unable to enter the UK without a UK visa

EU citizens will not require a visa to enter the UK during or after the transition period. Don't be silly.

that isn't entirely true, they won't require a visa to VISIT. they may require a visa to work or stay for any extended period and there are potential plans/discussions to limit that number, though nothing is decided yet.

  18. yeah NO. what utter bullshit. auto makers do voluntary recalls all the time and it is usually in this type of scenario as they know in the long run it will probably become a mandatory recall if they don't do something.

The UK doesn't get to get the advantages of leaving the EU and the advantages of staying, why would any country stay when they can just move out yet keep all the benefits. The reality is part of leaving the EU is leaving behind all the EU regulations and rules AND all the EU benefits. you can't be just a little bit pregnant here.

  20. why should the EU go out of its way? sorry but that seems idiotic, The UK is screwing over the EU but the EU should go out of its way to accommodate that?, especially as people have plenty of options to keep the domain name just by registering a local presence in the EU which many of the registry services offer.

That example would be fine if the EU no longer existed. .EU means that the company or person resides in the EU and hence is under EU trading regulations. This is not new, or petty, it is simply the requirements for an EU domain name. the UK no longer belonging to the EU means any domain for individuals not in the EU under this name would be deceptive.
