I'm not sure BBB involvement is relevant for a data center. It's not an auto repair shop with thousands of customers per year. Searching the online court records would be a more appropriate resource.

This doesn't have anything to do with 900 numbers, it has to do with toll calls to rural telephone carriers. They are allowed to set arbitrary rates that AT&T and other LD carriers must/should pay. To entice calls they offer free conference call systems or other services that cause people in other areas to call these toll numbers.

I don't think you understand how this works. Let's say you get taxed 10% up to $20,000 income and 20% if you made more. You made $21,000 this year. If you make no donation, your taxable income is $21,000 and your tax bill is $4,200. If you donated $1,000 to a charity, your taxable income is $20,000 and your tax bill is $2,000. Your total expenditure is $3,000, much less than $4,200. This is drastically simplified, but illustrates the point.

On cable it's because of how the system works. There is usually only one cable "channel" for upload but multiple channels for download. The upload channel has to be in the lower numbers due to signal loss. Like another post said, it also is an indirect throttle because TCP needs to ack received data.

  17. A reason for Java on Scriptiing The Enterprise With Java And PHP · · Score: 2, Insightful

One thing I like about Java compared to PHP is that I never have to recompile my servlet engine to add features. For example, I spend too much time getting pdflib to compile/install itself into php, but adding similar features to java requires dropping a single jar file in the correct directory. Same with imap support or anything else. It gets even better when you develop on your x86 desktop and deploy to a Sun machine or something else. The same jar file works everywhere, instead of figuring out how to compile on two platforms instead of one.
Database independence is already there also, you don't need to choose from 4 wrapper layers like PHP has.
