That's okay. Going along with their concept of invented monetary damages, we simply have to invent a new MPAA crypto-currency and say each coin is worth 1 million Hollywood dollars.
Additive manufacturing is a form of 3D printing whereby layers of material, commonly photopolymer resin, are printed on top of each other to create a 3D object.
First of all, this is Slashdot. I don't think you need to define what additive manufacturing is.
Second, photopolymer resin is not common. The most common 3D printers use fused deposition modeling, not stereolithography.
The device pixel ratio is the ratio between physical pixels and logical pixels. For instance, the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S report a device pixel ratio of 2, because the physical linear resolution is double the logical linear resolution. The formula is , where and are the physical and logical linear resolutions.Jan 9, 2012
Given that it took 1.125 days per MWh for Los Angeles, I would have given a quote of 112.5 days for the Australia installation. I bet they're be almost two weeks late and will have to give it for free.
What's baffling is the lack of french dubbed content on Netflix Canada. According to 2011 statistics, english is used by 58% of the population and french by 22%. So take the smaller-than-USA catalog, put only maybe 10% of it dubbed in french (most of the time there's not even french subtitles either) and that means Netflix Canada are losing at least 20% of potential customers.

And it will make the seas safer. How will that help movie studios against copyright infringement though?
That only applies to Paramount Pictures.
Since using robots means they're lowering expenses and making more profits, replying "jacking up the prices" is even more greedy.

The problem with houses with no corners is that you can't punish your kids anymore.

If you think you can apply a 1:1 ratio from a smartphone display to a web pixel, you are mistaken.

Can we please switch to DeLorean units of power?

You know as well as I do that whatever upgrades they do, users like you will use all of it and then complain again.
You still have unlimited data right now, upgraded infrastructures or not.
Limitless data does not mean limitless data to the detriment of other people.
Even if they slow you down, they're still not limiting the amount of data that you can download.
Don't ever come to Canada, where they charge you $5 per gig over your already expensive 1/2/5/10GB data plan.
Remember when Slashdot had news that mattered?

Make that a 3rd-generation Apple TV app and also offer their service in Canada.
Sometimes I feel like the comments are also generated by some bad A.I. that can't fridge blue also grass door if sky plastic.
What's annoying is those messages at the end of the credits, such as "This movie was produced with 15,000 people" and such.
What they will never write is "This movie was produced with 15,000 people and the three main actors got 95% of the money."
