woohoo! Trade one power monger for another! Thats what I like. The more I hear of this trial the more it seems like it's just people upset at MS's success. I hate MS with a passion but they do not have a monopoly on anything, Netscape, opera, and lynx are alive and well as is linux, macos, beos, bsd's, and UNIX... am I mistaken or isn't a monopoly cornering the market? They may use cutthroat tactics, but since when do you have to be nice in business? I think it is just whining companies who don't have the balls to compete with MS so are trying to sue them.
This will benefit no one but another power monger.
Other then the "wow that's kinda cool" factor, why would anyone want this? Hmmm, a solitare game with a web browser for viewing help files... that is REAL necessary! Bloatware at its finest.
Wasn't there a lawsuit a few months ago when that psx emulator for the mac cam out? Wasn't the outcome as long as the emulator uses its own code it is totally legal? *shrug* I heard this from a co-worker, so maybe it's not true.
With hype or without hype everyone would get tired of hearing about it. Titanic had no hype. It's popularity was word of mouth and I'm sure not one person wasn't SICK of hearing about it after a few months. To say that it is the fault of the media for your StarWars OD is wrong. Lucas could make a documentary on lint and name it starwars with no hype, and you would still hear of it nonstop. The media is not to blame for the hype, lunatic obsessive humans are.
