We have just exactly one earth. Why do people that choose not to understand that CO2 has a specific heat of 0.8, which heats quicker than atmospheric air with an SP of 1.0, but also releases that heat quicker than atmospheric air want to further foul the earth with half baked and ill thought out methods.
We should not attempt atmospheric mods without first testing them on some similarly atmosphered planet. But of course, if there was such a planet available, we would be living on it too.
I think you may be a little uniformed. I am near 60 and I vape. So what's my story? I tried quitting smoking for ten years and failed. Started vaping and I have not had a cigarette in two and one half years. I have had two heart attacks, two pulmonary embolisms, and have two stents from smoking. I could feel a difference in my health within a few days after starting to vape. Is nicotine safe? Probably not. Is it safer than the 3000+ harmful components of the typical American chemical laden cigarette? Certainly. The difference is that I use regulated box mods rather than unregulated mods. The chance for explosion is always present if a battery has been dropped. Hell, I have seen cigarettes burst into flame when the chemicals, esp. salt peter, were improperly mixed. If the military wants people off cigarettes, then vaping is an alternative providing you do not overcharge the batteries, drop them, or use unregulated box mods.
Spyware firms, like governments and corporations really do not care about the law. Many ?. users don't care about the truth, which is why I get down modded until I have terrible Karma When I tell people that I harden Windows 10 and remove, not just disable, the Spyware in that program, or that Microsoft has a Chinese version of W10 without most of the spyware the company tells everyone else that it must be in the OS for the OS to operate.
I also have most of the spyware that has been released to most groups that I collect to see how they infiltrate computers to spy and exfiltrate the data.
Your data and information belong to them, they don't care how they get it, as long as they get it and can use it against you. It does not matter if its is targeted ads, or information that may expose you to some form of control, they mean to get your data and they have the ways to do it. It is up to you to protect yourself.
I question just how long it will be before Microsoft sends out an update that will disallow computers, not just gaming consoles, to run an emulator. A virtual machine is an emulator, of sorts, and barring, or blocking, emulators could affect the ability to use virtual machines.
I did. The I went to Wikipedia since I am not familiar with the Jaguar architecture: "The AMD Jaguar Family 16h is a low-power microarchitecture designed by AMD, and used in APUs succeeding the Bobcat Family microarchitecture in 2013 and being succeeded by AMD's Puma architecture in 2014"
It just ain't happening. Not the specs they give.
Glad you know so much about me. But your ASSumption is wrong. You would have been better off saying that I do not game and have no use for gaming consoles.
I have read every comment to the present time.
Passion? How many of you have read "The Art of Computer Programming," all four volumes cover to cover and worked through most of it. Do that and I will say that you are passionate. I only made three volumes. Going through just three volumes, how many would say the person is unqualified. I would say that a person that made it through three volumes probably has a greater fundamental and advance knowledge than most programmers and experts. I have an advance degree in CS and I say that. I mean it too.
College? Taught me how to say what the instructor wanted to hear, not what worked. Most of my assignments the TA's said would not work. I told them that I had to turn in the source with the project and they could compile it. They told me that the compiled program was not compiled from the source. In each of those instances I had to go to the instructor who overrode the TA's every time. College at the technical level is more a case of the blind leading the blind. As far as the generals, I never paid much attention; did not care, and to this day am unconvinced of their validity excepting adding time to earn a degree and supporting failing academic departments.
Pray tell, what make you think I do not run Linux? Kali to be exact, I have run Debian proper, CentOS, and Slackware in the past. While each OS has its strengths and weaknesses, Windows has the applications that are most frequently run everyday. I am not a fanboi of any OS; I use each for its strengths.
You sir, are a fool. It is said that a wise man learns from his mistakes. That is a fool. A wise man learns from the mistakes of others.
What did I break? Nothing. Not even search because I use Classic Shell for a navigable menu rather than the jive that MS give us now.
What did I use to actually do the job? A Wim tweak.
What else did I do? Quite a bit: removed edge, feedback, contact support, telemetry, connect, all of the xbox stuff, all of the installed apps excluding store and calculator.
Error messages in the logs? None.
So please, save the Microsoft line. Many of us do not buy that line and want a hardened system - including against Microsoft and whoever they choose to share your data with without your permission, and in the case of government, without your knowledge.
BTW: Most of the stuff in W10 is simply a wrapper from W7. I have unwrapped enough of those shells to make that claim.
More importantly, you missed that I mentioned a virtual machine. Mistakes are easily corrected.
Learn from the mistakes of others and be a wise man!
It depends on the game and the benchmark. In real life tests shown on various video forums I have seen anything from slower than Windows 8.1 to 1 or two percent faster.
Linux may be free as an OS, but it is not really free to run in an enterprise. Like it or not, there are many programs that are used in an enterprise that are Windows-centric. Some programs, like Adobe run on MacOS, but not that well, some will ruin in a VM, some will run in Wine, but in every case there is the time required to learn the *nix OS and to set the programs up, and you still pay fees for running those programs. If all you are doing is a little browsing, a little document editing, and a little development with Eclipse (or the like), Then Linux may be free. Move outside of that, and Linux is no longer free.
There is a reason I use Virtual machines and multiple operating systems.
Funny thing about that Enterprise subscription, it has been available to the everyday plain-vanilla user for about a year. The everyday user can subscribe to Windows Enterprise from the Microsoft Partners. The requirements and costs vary per Partner, but I have seen Enterprise subscriptions for as little as $10/month.
I installed 15063 Enterprise four days ago! Got it from Microsoft. It took a while to figure out how to disable and remove Cortana; you have to boot safe mode with no services and rename the directory, but it was done!
I find nothing compelling about Windows 10 Creator, except how difficult MS made it to remove all the spyware and telemetry. Not at all like removing the junk from Windows 10 Anniversary, but still doable. On the other hand, with nothing but fluff, it might be said that if you are not bound to Microsoft products like Visual Studio, or the Office suite, then Windows 10 Creators Edition is a compelling reason to migrate to your flavor of Linux or BSD. Fortunately I run everything in a virtual machine.

Actually it was the Huns that pushed into the Goths and drove them to Rome.

Then it ain't happening. AMD does not have that kind of firepower.
So Microsoft will be using a down clocked Nvidia 108 Ti. Anything new?
