Wuh? I'm Canadian and know your first railroad was paid by the government. You might have missed the show, Hell on Wheels. Quick google confirms $16,000 per mile was paid to private companies to build it. I don't think the government even owned it still, since they gave the land to the railroad builders.

  7. That makes no sense and complete shit. If they keep it for 6 months and know it's tied to a specific user, they just need to have the physical homepod to determine the unique identifier to match up. All they fucking did was increase the bills for lawyers. Cocksuckers. Fucking trying to pull a fast one because they don't have a shit ton of integration features, so they are trying to spin LACK OF FUNCTIONALITY as a feature. This is going to pack a lot of fail in a small box.

Shit, this might be the case with my dad. He reported weird shit with MalwareBytes but I had him reboot before I could teamviewer in because it was just black screen. Things looked OK, did scan and it was fine. Event log said something like 30GB memory usage and also spectre crashes. I kept thinking I was counting digits wrong, but this story makes sense now. Went to reboot after disabling spectre using grc tool and it didn't come back online. Haven't seen it come back and no email. I guess I could call him... Good to know the workaround, thanks.
