    Documentation is nice when things are working, and forums are nice when they're not. Documentation is terrible at predicting it's own bugs, or else they'd have fucking fixed it instead of documenting the failure.

    I thought it was explained on /. before (there was a really informative post one time) that linux doesn't really ask you to reboot after non-kernel upgrades was simply because there's no mechanism to know and do this. This was a big reason for many servers getting patched for shellshock and other related bugs around that time still being vulnerable because of some sort of library/dependency type thing that kept the existing files running until reboot. The GUI app is just a wrapper for what the command line does, except better because you can see and select options in one view without having to look at documentation,better understand what files will be changed, or figure out command line syntax. Seriously, what was the fucking point besides pointing out you need your hand fucking held?

    I lose my shit more often trying to resize fucking windows by needing to be on a very precise spot to get the mouse to grab the edge. I would love to be able to resize and snap windows as easily as I do in windows in linux.

    You may need to add the IP of the lan folder to trusted locations (Internet options in control panel). There's probably a GPO as well. When I couldn't run an app the other day due to a system policy, I checked the Event Viewer and realized it was from CrypoPrevent, which tries to prevent malware. Had to add exclusion and reboot.

    They are garbage. I'd much rather buy quality ones that won't tear up my lips from using dollar store spoons and forks. You're not likely to notice low quality utensils used once in a while, but you sure notice using them every day. And, when they are shitty and cheap, they'll also get thrown away.
