Speaking as an outsider looking in, and based on the stories that frequently seem to come out of the US, or at least certain parts there of (creationism, global warming deniers, etc) how about treating science as a science first?:P
Because if so then I sort of admire the guy, because that is some EPIC level trolling he's managed to pull off:
I've only seen one clip of the show, but I kid you not it was some of the dumbest "hollywood take on tech" shit I have ever seen. Something to do with having to download some software from the onboard computer of a commercial airplane and the best way to do it was... DANGLE a goddamn ethernet cable down from the airplane mid-flight to the protagonists in their fast car so they can plug it into their laptop and download the required software.
Perhaps I just need to get used to them, but the "better looking fonts" on windows don't actually look better to me, they look worse. I'm not really sure what it is, but there definitely seems to be something slightly off about them.
How on earth do you figure this is a "blow" in the console war? Are you suggest that Microsoft was somehow behind this? Or is everything that gets reported on and is related to Playstation\Xbox now some sort of insidious plot to discredit one or the other console?
In reality it sounds like pure incompetence at Sony (and the same in the story you link about Microsoft) and I think when many people are affected by this sort of thing it's fair enough that it's covered on tech sites. It doesn't have to be part of some 'console war' that you parenthesize with apparent disdain while at the same time perpetuating the idea.
As a New Zealander I will be watching this case with interest, particularly how quickly\easily the extradition proceeds. New Zealand law on extradition states that extradition must relate to an offence that:
"Involves conduct that would be regarded as criminal had it occurred in New Zealand, and would have carried a similar penalty."
The penalties they're talking about here sound much higher than what I would expect in NZ... so I'll be interested to see how this turns out.
But I can't help wondering if Jack is actually on some game studio's payroll. Surely he must realise that all his hot air and bullshit does very little except give the very games he rails against free puplicity while making himself look like a complete twat...
I wonder what brand of PSU that 700W one was though? All PSUs are definitely not created equal, as I've had no problem running a hell of a lot off a 220W Shuttle power supply, while I come across people having no end of trouble running similar things off no name brand 300 or 400W power supplies. o.O
Just a note, that is for the entire system, rather than just the graphics card. Still high compared to older generations. Just thought I'd point it out, since it may not be clear.
I think I'll wait for more ATI drivers and some DX10 games before calling this one... Looks a little underwhelming at the moment though. I'm not regreting my 8800GTX purchase yet.;)
I usually find their reviews to be the best around. Always very detailed, and from what I've seen always right on the money. (They seem impressed, but their bottom line seems to be that, for now, you're better of sticking with a 7600GT, 7900GS or X1950XT if you already have one.)
We have a Fibre network that work... ;-)
And it's the difference between helping your uncle, Jack, off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.
It should read: "Sony learns about Streisand effect the hard way" ;-)
Say with with me: "RAID is not backup!"
Why not just say 10.5 Ton? :p
Here is a link to the blog post on this, with much better info that the link in the story:

Sure, but is it Web scale?
I'd +1 you if I could - completely true. The whole antivaxxer movement is the epitome of pseudoscience, in the worst possible way.

If you're sitting there thinking "This is nonsense; my team has no idiot" then it's most likely you.
I really wish I had some mod points for you.

WTS: Sense of humour, stolen from nicholas22. Barely used.

To fit those egos in... :p
The lawyers or their mouth...?

AMD have announced they will shortly demo "BABYCARRIAGE" in response.
Yeah, someone's got to select the articles to maximise bad spelling and grammar. It won't happen by itself you know!
