  8. Inevitably this kind of articles generates a shit-ton of comments from all the crybabies!! Quite funny if a bit tedious due to the sheer mass of idiocy displayed! tl;dr: "Boo hoo hoo! I'm a white male and I complain about social injustice! it's so hard being paid more than others, never second guessed and always thought of as stronger and smarter than others by my buddies! I feel there are too much women and minorities in tech already because I'm so insecure! Women are made for babies and care! why should they want something else ?!? We grudgingly agreed that they have a soul, and now they want more?!? I'm with the original author of the memo because it reinforces my idiotic bias, and I think he's a poor thing that may suffer in his job for being a complete idiot in his job! How injust! And I want a pony.

Lol quite not! Syria is a brutal dictatorship, failed state and whatnot, but not fascist. Trump/trump's government is closer to fascism (as defined by historians, mussolini himself etc) without being (for now) full on fascist...Not all dictatorships and brutal regimes are fascist you know?

  10. 'Think for yourself"...that's quite the pot calling the kettle black!! are you a real person? How can somebody appear so ignorant and dumb and still make semi cogent sentences, is quite extraordinary.

Problem is, does either of us have proof/measure of what we assert? Me I donâ(TM)t tbh. My point of view is that YES there are gender/race inequalities and bias in our societies, and that some people ARE racist even if they deny vigorously. "some" is a better word than "a lot" that I used earlier since I canâ(TM)t prove "a lot", especiaÄly wrt voting decisions. Oh btw it is my opinion that some policies have a racist nature/undercurrent/component so there, we can disagree again ;)

Personally I have encountered male whiners too. Whiners will always find a way to justify their whining. You even can find some that will whine because theyâ(TM)re women and itâ(TM)s difficult in our society being a woman...and some that will whine because theyâ(TM)re white men and our society is treating them with disrespect...

Thank you, clearly you know more about the subject than I do. I guess you wished you didn't have to know that much. I guess it depends of the point of view. In the instances and environment you are describing yes, women/minorities are probably "advantaged" over white males. You had to suffer from that and that's a shame. In society as a whole (in US/Europe, let's not talk about saudi arabia or similar...) my opinion/feeling is that minorities/women have a harder time than white men. Facts backing up this? women make less money for the same job usually, a lot of women do not report rapes because judgement for police/society, having to "prove"the rape...(hence policies that may go too far in the opposite as you have experienced) ...Crack possession with much harsher sentences than cocaine...Lead pipes in Flint...Toys for girls only in pink... the list could go on. I guess each one could be debated, rebuked with specific examples...politics/society usually isn't made of binary propositions. You experienced the philosophical problem with affirmative action-type policies: To enable greater justice in society as a whole, should we allow injustices at the individual level...In the end life isn't always easy, sometimes we eat sh!t from society, whatever color/gender we are.
