If anyone thinks that gov'ts don't spy and that the right guaranteed in the Constitution/Bill of Rights are always upheld you probably believe in the Easter Bunny and the Tooth Fairy. Part of living in a big, sometimes dangerous world full of different kinds of people, is that gov'ts spy and break laws. I know that, I just don't want to see it. Just like hot dogs, I love them but I don't want to see them made.

The real worry is that the NSA were so sloppy or lazy or just didn't care enough to hide what they were doing. The NSA is in the spy and secrets biz. If some sys admin at the phone company can out a NSA mission, then those agents need to be transfered to a listening station in the arctic circle.

And as for being far from certain that the bomb was the fastest way to end the war. Big deal if it wasn't, it was far from certain that d-day would work, etc. If that bomb saved 1 us soldier from dying, then drop it.

Even if FOSS only re-engineered what closed source software companies did, and made them commodities, that would force innovation from closed source companies so they could charge premiums for there products,

McVoy is going to see that the new tool(s) Linus uses for SCM will force him to innovate his product at a faster rate, and for more $, then what he used to spend supporting the free tool he provided.

I suggest using a the standard baby monitor with the two receivers and one base unit. If yu want to go more than that, an infared web camera servered over you home network via apache whould be the way to go. The audio monitor is addicting enough, the video can get maddening so I've heard.

The advantage of a web server is you can view it from work and/or the house next store.

The audio monitors are enough, stick with them is my advice.

You are so wrong about my thoughts about Canada. I love Canada and have tried to convince my wife to move their. I love Canada, and I love America too. I am not saying what I said to bash Canada, and I think you health care system is great. But my statement stands, we have the most advance healthcare, it is macho, over the top, er on steriods, never let dealth win at any costs healtcare, that's just the way we are. It's not better or worse, jsut different, and the infant mortality rates reflect that.

Not saying that the Canadians put kids that might not make it out to sea on ice flow. But in certain parts of the us, boston for example, we lead the world in resarch and advances in medicine. We have access to things the rest of the world doesn't yet. Expiermental, advance stuff, the latest and yes greatest.

Most people never need that stuff, but infant mortality figures, (and unlike you, I've actually read them and asked the author questions,) reflect extrodinary measures unavailable to the rest of the world.

When was the last time some loaded rich guy from Europe/Aisa went to Canada to see if the latest Cancer treatment would cure his rare form of Cancer? Never.

So, you can bite me, and, besides you, I love Canada for it's culture, healtcare, beauty, and way of life and I know that Canada is not filled with numbnuts like you and the US is not filled with the arrogant, flag waving, condescendig dickhead you painted me to be.

I like the tone of the rest of you post after the pps. Yous should have stuck to that.

Our rate is higher because we try to save more babies. In other countries, if the Doc. doesn't think the baby has a good enough chance, they don't try to save it. Still births and the like don't count in Infant mortality.
In the US, we are far mor likly to try and save that child, which, unfortunaly, doesn't always work and increases the infant mortality rate.

I've had one for years and they are great. I bought mine at the store in Harvard Square back when it was open. Don't forget to check out the laptop inserts. I have a standard and it's great. I am thinking of upgrading to the deluxe insert for the extra pockets. (power supply, linix boot CD, etc)

The strap is wide and you can get a pad for it too so its comfortable. The bag really keeps the laptop safe from the elements. I have the large brief bag, it's good for files, folders etc. too.

    I cannot recomend this enough.

which is worth a fortune here or abroad, and the lower cost of living where this data now resides, makes an irresistible target.
