Because you're not exploring the real estate mechanics deep enough. My first play through of Fable II, I figured my best bet was to buy as much property as possible but then I never bothered to do much with it. Second time through, I realized how tough it was to get tons of money early on so I just hoarded my money, bought weapon augments and slowly began purchasing homes throughout Albion. At the same time as purchasing the homes, I made sure to visit the furniture store often getting every 4 star and 5 star item that I could. Then redecorate!
Don't forget to hang your trophies up....you can buy a house for about 10k and once you do these upgrades the rent will be 300-400 coins per tick. Rinse and repeat on as many houses as is possible and you'll be making a lot of money. I own almost none of the shops, but almost all of the houses and am making 10k per tick....
Maybe I'm wrong here, but wouldn't it make sense to have machines writing code instead of humans in the not-so-distant future? Other than maybe a few highly specialized systems, I would think that most coding would be turned over to computers within the next twenty years. Correct me if I'm misunderstanding the complexity of the situation...
I don't think you really took the time to think about what you just wrote. A nurse, regardless of gender, doesn't get to just "leave work at work and go home and relax". Imagine taking care of a terminal cancer patient, knowing that tomorrow could be their last day? Imagine having to deal with that patients family on a daily basis.
Imagine having to console the parents of a 17 year old driver who was killed by some drunken jerk on the road?
Do you really think you'd just leave that stuff at the door when you left the hospital?
So you have to spend time thinking of the most efficient way to write some algorithm, not easy work for sure and intellectually consuming, but there's no where near the emotional toll that the situations I presented above would incur and I know for myself, it'd be a heck of a lot easier to leave computer programming work at the door than nursing work.
1. Ignore reality 2. Accuse your opponent of your own malfeasance
Made a slight revision; let's not get myopic just because we've endured the past eight years of the GoP. The Democrats do it just as readily and have constituencies that hold sway over them the same way that the Republicans do. I maintain that we haven't had a President worth his salt since Dwight D. Eisenhower...here's to hoping that Obama makes me rethink this point of view.
Oh and before any one starts spouting off about how I'm angry over the results of the election, I voted for Obama. But I guess I am upset, over the fact that there are enough yahoos in California to Pass Prop 8.
You sir, are not being a myopic American! Why, I ask you why!?!?! Every message board I go to seems to be full of people proclaiming the changes that will come to pass under the "Supreme Ultimate Leader Barrack Obama". I hope these people are right, as things are in dire straits, but the truth of the matter is that the world is no different today than it was yesterday. Oh maybe there's more hope, maybe the playing field became a bit more level but our economy is still in shambles, racism has not died in this country, our planet is being ravaged and none of these issues can be fixed by one man.
I voted for Barrack, and I think what he really brings to the country is the ability to reach across the isle and work with others to bring about change; this is the only way out of the forest and it seems like this entire country is ready to celebrate like we're already out when there are miles and miles and miles of torment to endure before we are done. The economy is only getting worse, unemployment will be at 10% a year from now and all of these things are outside Barrack's area of influence.
I really could have used those in college....oh wait it's called Blood Juice!
1 - 40 Ounce Bottle of Mickey's 1 - Small Bottle of nighttrain wine 1 - Pack of red cool aid.
Drink Mickey's down to the label, fill with night train wine and red cool aid. Close quickly and throw in the freezer for about 30 minutes (Rumor has it the mix will explode without the freezers involvement but I have no way to verify this as I never risked it).
Enjoy!
I'm not responsible for anything you say, do and especially everything you don't remember. This concoction is dangerous, and drinking it can result in the destruction of property or you being in jail quite easily:)
I could totally be wrong on this, as I don't pretend to be any kind of expert, but I was under the impression that they had "representation" in that there was a representative for them in the US Government but they had no actual voting rights.
Hey I'm just being honest about my short comings/things I need to work on but you can go ahead and make snap judgments without knowing me, that's fine too!
No doubt on this one, as it stands I have a bit of a temper; I've noticed that throughout the course of the day, if someone does something stupid or assinine that really gets under my skin (I'm in IT) it'll tend to cook and the one tiny thing and I'll go off the handle. Not really a great habit to have...
It's on permanent optical media, the databases that make all the data intelligible are stored on the servers. Otherwise you have seven years of email in text files, organized chronologically with absolutely no auditing information attached. Much more efficient systems to do this today, but it was implemented back like '99-'00 and I've inherited it from multiple other admins...good times!
So let me get this straight, you're upset because a company bought the intellectual property for the Fallout world and then decided to make a game, with that intellectual property, that runs from different mechanics from what you want ergo Bethesda has bastardized a great franchise!
"You lost out on a bit of the experience with the slider lowered"
Have you played Oblivion? I've played through the entire game both on the PC and on the Xbox and I never got 1 experience throughout the entire game. Your levels were not experience based, they were skilled based. You either are having difficulty remembering the game or you never played it sir.
The only thing I can think of, is possibly that you're equating raising skills with experience and failing to reach maximum potential from leveling is a byproduct of how you level and has nothing to do with the experience slider.
Uh I am the administrator of a server that archives all email for our company. We no longer use this solution for our email archiving, but according to federal regulations this email needs to be accessible for at least another 26 months. The only people who use the server anymore are the various alphabet soups of regulators who came in twice a year, maybe I'm the exception but not the rule but I can't see a reason to keep the server on...
I am very much inclined to agree with you though my evidence is completely anecdotal and IANAG. That being said, I find it fascinating that there are instances of organisms on this planet, who are in environments that are both similar and protected from outside influences, developing the exact same set of adaptation for two different but similar ecological niches.
My idea, is that our genetic code is much like a root kit for a programming language; he's a procedure to make an "arm", an "eye", a "leg" etc and it's just how the procedure is used and expressed that determines the exact nature of the created structure. Probably talking out my ass but fun ideas to play around with:)
Is it just limited to GSM? As long as I've had a cell phone (only about 8 years now) I've noticed that 5-10 seconds before the phone begins to ring, if it's near any sort of audio equipment it will produce that distinctive buzz. Although, with the iPhone, it produces it if you just place the phone near the speakers, no phone call required. Here's my simple solution, move the iPhone to a different part of my apartment! Poof no more noise...
Although if I was a pilot this was drive me nuts...
So good and yet so bad, hours and hours and hours of my life wasted over the past 12 years. But hey, I'm an awesome typist and there's a mob in that Knights of Solamnia city (can't remember it's name, but the one with the regen room just south of it) named after my character!
Zach Quinto is the best of the "young" actors on Heroes and definitely holds his own with the likes of Jack Coleman (Noah Bennet), Cristine Rose (Angela Patrelli) and Malcolm McDowell (Linderman). There's a lot of terrible actors on that show, and he stands out from them. Milo, Sendhil and Hayden are all terrible. They need to take some classes and learn how to do something besides brood. Nothing beats Hayden Panettiere when she's trying to show fear, anger or disgust. She puts on these silly moods and broods in to the camera like a 10 year old.

And pouring beer is a great way to make money....
Gallows humor isn't leaving something at the door, it's a mechanism for dealing with extremely tough situations.
Not the same thing as leaving it at the door...
"We need the code"?
Maybe I'm wrong here, but wouldn't it make sense to have machines writing code instead of humans in the not-so-distant future? Eh no one's perfect :)

Yeah that was a dick response, I apologize.

Alfonso right?
Remember a CornFlakes?
Bah! I eat Tarsis Ham when I want and drink from the Tarsis Fountains when I want :)

I'm the same way and it's really quite simple, my imagination powns modern graphics cards and MMO environments!
