    Actual physicists, please correct me if I'm wrong:

    Yes it apparently is faster than light in a vacuum, but it doesn't seem to matter. The change in spin happens instantaneously at both places, but since you can't deliberately change the spin yourself, merely observe it, no information is actually propagated. Thus you're not transmitting anything faster than light, and the universe therefore doesn't explode.

    So tell us please, how does one "manage the exceptions" when an assailant on meth is charging you with a knife and the taser doesn't stop him? Offer him a leaflet while singing Kumbaya?

    The sixth-gen iPad has the same battery as the previous model, with 32.9 Wh capacity. iFixit noted that while this allows Apple to reuse existing manufacturing lines to reduce waste, the battery is still locked behind a "repair-impeding adhesive" that greatly reduced the iPad's repairability score.

    So the single consumable part in these devices, the battery, might come from an older device but still can't be replaced.

    And this is how they're reducing waste? Colour me unimpressed.

    Probably.

    From their point of view, regaining their sight is worth a lot, but isn't worth sacrificing another human life.

    Okay, so is it a ritual hanging for the executives, or will fire be involved? Will they make it public or more of a behind-closed-doors event?

    And as for Facebook, I guess the userbase will migrate to something else over the next few days. A pity, as some of my elderly relatives would use it to keep in touch with various hobby groups.

    I think I'll stick with my Gear, thanks.

    Four day battery life, seamless phone integration with better speaker/mic than actual phone, and it's Tizen so I can write my own damn apps for it.

    Not waterproof enough for swimming, but I can live with that.

    Oh, you mean using analytics to spy on whether I actually read an article or not? Yeah RSS isn't so good for that.

    Socialism does no such thing. Under socialism the government does all that for you and forces you to surrender your assets (time, wealth) for the good of those around you.

    Right-wing systems work off the assumption that the individual is responsible for themselves, and will understand and empathise with those around them without any supervision. Problem is, they don't.
