This is not the same as the little check box under the property settings for compatibility with older OSes.
No, it's a full-blown virtual Windows XP installation with all the flaws that come with it. In which case, what was the point of upgrading in the first place?
What are you talking about? I use two of my no-name tablets on a daily basis. Then again, many appliance stores over here now stock such items so one doesn't have to visit chinese websites to get them. These days about a third of the kids at local schools have one.
Which brings up an interesting point. Can anyone actually steal a number or merely copy it? The number already existed, in a sense, long before bitcoin so how can anyone really "own" it?
Remember that similar arguments about stealing vs copying have been made in defense of copyright infringement claims by the MPAA, RIAA, etc.
If you would prefer to agree that bitcoin isn't really a currency, but rather a speculative investment and tool for money launderers, then that's fine...
Well, more of a scam run by coal and other energy companies who have managed to con people out of trillions of CPU/GPU/FPGA/ASIC cycles.
Great, now can they take out the mercury-based preservative too.
Not that it has been found to be harmful in any way when bonded in that form, but its removal would give a lot less fuel to idiotic anti-vaccination groups. I don't believe for a second that it would shut up such groups, but it would give uninformed Joe Public even less cause to listen to them.
I guess this whole punkbuster thing is a constant game of leapfrog, but I wonder how long until this is worked around by, say, a browser addon that maintains its own DNS caches for selected sites so the system DNS cache is never touched, or even more simply, cheaters publicize a few IP addresses to crack sites, bypassing DNS completely.
Not knowing anything about carp in the great lakes, I automatically think that one hydro dam on the chicago river would fix the problem wouldn't it? That way the water could still flow, but upstream fish migration would be blocked.
Dams blocking fish migration is seen as a negative effect elsewhere but in this case it sounds like a positive. Plus you get electricity too.
Wrong Neil.

Why should his criticism of a business not be valid just because he's not up with some obscure lingo used by some people in that particular business?

Loosely speaking, a Bitcoin is a secret number.

Welcome to the Cloud.
Where do they get their sales figures from? Do they include sites like DX, madeinchina et al?
If not, then I'm pretty confident Android has been outselling iOS for several years now.

But then it wouldn't be in the Cloud, so it's immediately uncool! Because Cloud!
Cloud.
Really? Is Gilbert P. Hyatt just a pseudonym used by Jack Kilby?
Okay people, start listing your favourite video chat applications that support SIP and TLS, and why you use them.
Go!
Bitcoin now functions as a wonderful scam perpetuated by electricity retailers, and so far is yielding impressive returns for those investors.
I'm guessing it means he has big lips and is quite old...
And Nokia. Let's never forget the stacking job they did at Nokia to kill off one of Finland's biggest companies.

Interesting point there. Do bees have faces?
So... no problem with free range eggs then?
An interface that requires the driver to take their eyes off the road has already failed. What's wrong with actual buttons and knobs?

I'm speechless. Anyone else want to take this one?

This is a good step in the right direction. They now have about 18 months to come up with a fully rehydratable, dehydrated pizza.
That is, of course, once they've sorted out proper hoverboards and Mr Fusion.
Wow, you and the other insightful AC have been downmodded for some reason. Mods must be on crack today.
Wrong. /. poster "Lister King of Smeg" gave the correct answer - vote third party.
Your SIM card? Can you take it out temporarily and connect via local WiFi?
