    so either their compressor isnt optimal...
    or they can repetitively compress data stream until they reach 0 bits,proof of bullshit... but we knew that already...

    because Quartz isnt even remotely related to X11, so the port from quartz to x11 shloudnt trivial...

    Beside with a market of 95% of all computers (wintel & Apple) (out of the hat figure), why bother with a few more units.

    Hi,
    the company I work for, bought a renderfarm (7 nodes) from SGI.

    - their ACE thing was damn expensive
    - maya render is linked to a bunch of useless libs (Mesa,X11)
    - the renderer is said to be slower than's NT's
    - maya 4 for linux wont be available before november

    consequences:
    - they want me to dump linux for w2k

    prepare aspirin :-(
