yep, it was far superior to Grafitti, but the Newton had a MUCH bigger screen and a lot more power under the hood. Grafitti is still extremely quick to learn. They both have their place, but Inkwell is wasted on Mac OSX until Apple release a small, tablet style machine with a proper touchscreen.
the speed of the Mac interface used to be worth a hell of a lot. I say "used to", because that's just not the case with OSX. I can't honestly say that I find OSX significantly quicker to handle than Win2K. WinXP otoh, is a lot slower than both.
wait a couple of minutes and some Moto-head will tell you how the CPU business isn't important to Motorola, how Apple is not a significant customer and how Iridium is a big success story.
Careful, that kind of thinking ends in Macintosh. Much better to just leave everything the way it was on some 1989 Dell piece of junk. Who needs USB and FireWire when you've got LPT1 and 2?
That can't be right. English is - by definition - whatever it is that the English speak. Usually, this means whatever is in the OED, which of course changes at every edition to reflect the changing language of the English. Colloquialisms, whether they be Welsh, Scottish or Canadian in origin will be defined as such. Great Britain does NOT include NI, hence the "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland". Quite why you'd believe that 'proper' English (whatever the hell that is) is more likely found in NZ than Hertfordshire is anyone's guess.
I thought we'd long accepted the idea that p2p doesn't cost the music business a dime, and that sales actually increased noticeably during Napster's heyday. My music buying certainly soared while Napster was big - I was getting access to so many different records that I'd only ever heard ABOUT before - it was wonderful.
I completely agree, and one of Omniweb's sweetest features to me is it's ability to open links behind your current window. I don't mind tabbed browsers, but auto sizing pages utterly destroy them. Apple have already giving us a fairly efficient window manager - all the browser should do is use it effectively.
don't know about yours. My VGA adapter (why didn't the PS2 have one of these?) is plugged in to the B input on my Sony G400 - great image quality but it lacks the 16:9, 28" impact of the more subtly detailed images coming from the PS2 plugged into my TV. DC is a great console, it's also a DEAD console with NO new development coming. PS2, on the other hand, is middle aged at worst and likely to have it's best games to come - just look at the strides developers managed over the life of the PSX, with PS2's radical architecture and new-found network play I'm looking to some great stuff over the next year or two.
GT Concept is a generation ahead of Le Mans, however great a game (and it's one of the best drivers EVER) that is.
actually, I've just bookmarked my Omniweb "Bookmarks.html" file in Safari - which Omniweb keeps in usr/library/application support/omniweb. A very neatly organised little file it is too! Thanks Omni group.
yes you can, I switch back and forth all the time. I still think that good window handling can be just as goog. Omniweb has GREAT window handling, superb bookmarks and - apparently - better Slashdot compatibility that Safari...
"Frank Zappa" is two words.
"Muppet" is one word.
you can rule Macs out, as there isn't a full Kazaa client for the MacOS.
I copied and posted that Goodlatte article directly from the riaa website. As ludicrous as it is, this is the propaganda that we're up against.
I copied and pasted the parent article from the riaa website, in case you wondered.
well, yes
if it was real - rather than some 15 year old's wank fantasy
I'm not surprised that you choose to remain anonymous with spelling like that.
DEFINITELY going to be AFFECTED, numbnuts

if it isn't beige, your sexuality is at risk.

"in some English dialects, namely British"
We call it English because it's the language of the English. What you speak is something else. British is not, and never can be, an English dialect.

use software update
cool - I haven't played with it much yet...

No tabs for Safari please!
has went?
another nail in the coffin of the American public education system.
holy fuckola

Safari is giving me a LOT of timeouts, particularly when hitting reply - Omniweb just sails serenely on...
if Americans have got anything to do with it - unfortunately it won't lead to much else.

"and on with getting my bookmarks over from Omniweb."
Have you thought of an EASY way? I'm dreading the prospect...
yes you can, I switch back and forth all the time. I still think that good window handling can be just as goog. Omniweb has GREAT window handling, superb bookmarks and - apparently - better Slashdot compatibility that Safari...
Safari's quicker though!
"actually the graphics pretty well are..."
no they aren't - even through my VGA adaptor.
"And it came out years ago."
Erm... so did the PS2.
