The fact that there are several versions of Bibles in use today should reflect that the "Bible" isn't really a good axiomatic text to view the world.
To quote Spamalamadingdong, "If you had any idea of what you were talking about, you would know this."
You think you are so smart, the different versions of the Bible all say the same thing. They are just re-prints of the Bible to the common vernacular of the time.
Speaking from what happened to me and research I did when I upgraded to Windows XP...
When Microsoft released Windows XP NVidia would not let them rebuild the 3dfx 3D drivers for it (they were in the beta builds, but not the final). So if you have a 3dfx card and upgraded to Windows XP you had to buy a new card to get 3D support. Guess what you were going to buy, uhmmm, probably NVidia cause they had the best card.
NVidia bought the rights to get intellectual property for some old cards, ya right. They did it so they could force people to upgrade hardware as new OS's came out.
Fortunately we still have Linux drivers because they were GPLed.
I had run across the same problem and what I did was, after setting the visibility to hidden, I set the top to -1000. What that did was make it so it would hide the div in browser where it works and move it of the screen for browsers that did not, giving the illusion of hiding it.

There is no 'getting up to speed'. It is all Direct X , Direct 3D and other standard Microsoft technologies. That was supposed to be the beauty of the XBox, no learning curve like with the PS2.
Yes, there is something you can do, but you wont do it, I guarantee. Never, ever, go to another movie, cancel your cable, stop watching T.V., never buy another CD. If you accomplish this for yourself, then you can convince all your friends and relatives of the same. If everyone that reads slashdot in the States did this I guarantee the MPAA/RIAA would take notice.
Soon their revenue streams would dry up, and we wouldn't have to worry about stupid laws like this.
